Welcome to the forum. As you've mentioned your wish to lose weight, maybe you might want to look in the section called 'Weight Loss NHS' as it is an area where people discuss their goals to lose weight.
There are several regular weight loss posts - either by individuals, or as groups. I do a Monday weigh in entitled 'Please Join Me For a Monday Weigh-in' (current date in brackets), and I usually post at about 7am on Mondays - quite a few people join in with that, and it's a weekly weigh-in. You'd be welcome to join us if you want to, or indeed to set up your own weigh-in post - or join in with other people's posts - it's very friendly and supportive.
It's also worth looking at the NHS website pages where there's a really good 12 week structured plan for weight loss.

However, I am going to be away now till 13th July, so can't reply to anyone now. However, Prin (a great forum member on Healthunlocked weight loss site) will be doing the next 2 Mondays weigh-ins (29th June and 6th July) if you do want to join in, so look out for her name. I'll be back for the weigh-in on 13th July.
