I saw this the other day and thought it was pretty helpful. Maybe it will help someone. Do you have any affirmations that work for you?

Thank you, SurvivingEverday.

These are really useful reminders and positive memos to hold close.

I've been adopting some of these in past months - along similar lines ...

It really is about trying to remember and snap out of the automatic thoughts that can lead to a more depressive state.

So I think it's great to see this TLC graphic for a perfect reminder of how to re-act in tough times.

I was at a workshop recently and the topic was on values, yet the real thing that stood out was a phrase about change.

Change = Response-Ability.

These reminders do help us to realise that we are empowered and CAN make positive changes, step by step... day by day.

It's about our response to the old patterns that cause triggers; plus our conscious selves deciding to act in a different way, through such affirmations.

And so change is about responsibility, yes, but also taking care to show ourselves great kindness. That to me, I am realising, is the best sense of responsibility that I can engender for my life these days. Rather than just trying to be good, or do the right thing... it's also for me about just asking myself what I really feel and think and how I would actually like to respond, rather than doing so by default.

Thank you again for sharing! :) Sending blessings !

Thank you! I appreciate your reply and agree with you. Asking ourselves questions/internal dialogs are so important. I am learning that each day :)

Thank you for posting, SurvivingEveryday.

I like the reminder about self care and compassion, since I am very self critical.

I love the idea of creating a safe space within myself...

Finding things that remind me of when I was feeling safe, help me through a flashback. Keeping a folder somewhere with music, pictures, list of tools for self help may be an idea.

I keep having new coping strategies as things change.

Thanks for this it's a really good reminder. One that I use is "I am safe, and ok just as I am"

Hello :-)

These are so true yet I do none of them I get so full of my thoughts and fears I forget

I am glad you posted them they are simple and easy to follow and I shall try and follow these more and keep reminding myself

I think for me the first one is where I do need to start by telling myself

This is just a memory it cannot harm me anymore as I live with the thought it can but shall keep telling myself this :-)

Thank you for posting these :-) x
