New Job Jitters

SurvivingEveryday profile image

Tomorrow I start my new job! I posted about it last week, but essentially I will be working part time with animals on a ranch. There are a few other people who I will be working with (I believe three or four), and I am so nervous! It is crazy to think how I would be nervous for it... Until three years ago I was a business manager at a transportation agency and managed nearly 200 people, and a multi-million dollar budget. Then, PTSD events happened and I am now nervous to start this job.

Any advice?

Congratulations! Kudos to you for getting back into the job force! I know it had to be hard, but you have made it. I wish you nothing but the best and I hope it works out great!

Concentrate on the breath when things seem to overwhelm. You can do this, youve got this. I look forward to a post saying how your first day went.

This is an amazing new stage that you are entering. Anyone working with animals will surely be compassionate and flexible. Have heart, be yourself, and remember how and why you are there.... it sounds like a wonderful time in your life to renew, heal and recover. I so wish you well.

Are these horses and/or cows your job involves?? :)

Enjoy the freedom and remember you can DO IT - as you've proved so much already in your previous role/s.

Wishing you well.
