I was in a relationship with a guy for 8 years. It's been 7 months since I came to know that my boyfriend was cheating on me. I gave hima second chance as I loved him so much and I didn't wanna loose him. But later I was diagnosed with high depression and anxiety and realised that I wasn't happy so I broke up with him. From then I keep getting this same dream where he keeps cheating on me again and again with multiple girls and I keep waiting for him to choose me over other girls. It hurts and I don't understand why I keep taking shit from this guy again and again without hitting the shit out of his face. I dont wanna think about him or see him in my dreams again. Or atleast I wanna hit him so hard and teach him a lesson in my dream. How can I change my dreams?

There is something called lucid dreaming. It doesn't work for everyone.

My nightmares started getting worse lately so I change the dream after I wake up. I repeat the changed ending many times.

When I was a child and teenager, I used to write. I was in charge of how I wanted to shape the characters and their world. It saved me through my childhood trauma.

Not sure if it helps but worth a try.

Hope the nightmares subside...
