ADHD is this a characteristic of CPTSD?

I was diagnosed with ADHD, but I am wondering if this symptom is really due to my CPTSD?

Reason I am asking is that I recently read that my type of CPTSD ("Flight") characteristically displays sings of ADHD

This makes sense. I've never been formally diagnosed with attention deficit but it definitely has a lot to do with ptsd. I am much worse and cannot do the simplest tasks when symptomatic

I think the uncontrollable anxiety and inner critic is what distracts me.and distraction is i big symptom of ADHD.

When I was in my 20s before (being diagnosed with pTSD 30 years later) I was misdiagnosed as bi polar and schizophrenic. So being misdiagnosed as having ADHD would fit the pattern.Does this make sense?

Yes, it is not an exact science. So many of these things mimic each other. In my case it doesn't matter the diagnosis because treatment is the same, anyway. Cognitive behavioral therapy and Wellbutri. What's more complicating is I went into depression due to the press and attention problems. It gets layered for me.

For me it's an epiphany because it's once less label.

Depression is horrible. I was hospitalized too many times .

Thankfully I no longer experience this. I am in Pristiq . Check it out much newer and more effective than other medication.
