Sitting in the park watching my kids play why I feel all this pain inside. I try not to panic I try not to cry.

It's really hard to say as we are all individual.

It's possible that there are some triggers that you are not aware of, or that there is something that needs facing (like in therapy). Whatever is bothering you, it is there, it is the most difficult thing to learn to control when we let it out (like cry).

When feelings are too much to face and reality is overwhelming, it might be a coping mechanism for the brain to escape.

I'm sorry Micky.....

Sorry to hear you feel your pain so much today.

Be totally compassionate with yourself <3

Not saying this is the case, but several of my kids trigger me by their voice inflections and body language. They aren't doing anything wrong, it just triggers me. I go quiet. They wonder why. One is my really short daughter who has a loud booming voice. The other is a son whose body language in just the way he moves reminds me of an assault. The more aware I am of triggers, the better i am to be able to cope with them. My dear wife loves to come up from behind me and surprise me. Took me years to get her to quit doing that. Big trigger. Myself I love parks, but to truly relax I need to be in a place where I can see everything out in front of me and eliminate things from behind. The park with the lake is my favorite as I can sit with my back to the lake.

Oh gosh. I hate being caught by surprise too...

Anyone who doesn't announce themselves, either, and is just suddenly 'present' in the room or at the doorway, that's going to freak me out too ;o)

I usually make a loopy shout out and then laugh about it....

Anyone with noisy shoes is really in my good books :o))

It's finding balance, perspective,

The way I see it there is a lot in this world that is unpleasant, bad even evil, outside us and in our own lives, past etc

a lot that if we focused on it would make anyone upset and crazy

There is also a lot that is wonderful, beautiful, joyous and good

So if we could practise changing our focus to the good stuff more than the bad,

Then we would have more balance and perspective on life, our lives.

And if we focus on what's good we draw more of that to us and visa versa

as we are giving our subconscious minds positive affirmations by our focus that it will act on and visa versa.

I know at some of the worst moments of pain it is near impossible to control & the tears just keep coming.

The only thing that helps is either to just let the tears just flow (When appropriate) or try to engage & focus at whatever task is in front of me in order to get out of my own head. It's difficult, but possible.

May I suggest actively playing with your kids at the park if you can? It might help to bring you to the present, & perhaps some relief, then later you can let it all out.

I have found that interaction with children helps at times to distract me from emotional distress. Becoming so focused on them it becomes easier to push aside the pain, since I don't want them to see it & wish to protect them from experiencing it.

Hi

I've been there, I think deep down that something is making you unhappy.

It's hard but, maybe you should try coucelling and get to the bottom of it.

Don't forget that when you're low you can feel lonely in a crowded room full of people.

I do hope, you get some help and feel better soon.

Take care and best wishes. 🌺

I've got to wait for counselling at least six to 8 weeks waiting for the wellbeing service to contact me but thank you for your support I also need to remember my coping skills and not to get in such a state also the pressure from my children. To do things at the moment are very diffcult because of my anxiety and issues x
