Your post is a little confusing, at least to me. Is the eft helping?  Because you say "until today I have been so depressed". Does that mean it's helping you? I hope so! And if it is, could you explain a little more about what eft is? I feel like I've heard it before but I can't place it in my memory right now. I have been extremely depressed recently and I know I really must find a therapist.

Nevermind about explaining eft, I just saw the next post and I remembered what it was! I think it will be useful for anyone who has even a small belief that it could help. I just did it myself and already feel a little better!

I can relate to what you write as I have previously been immobilized by depression. I think it is "normal" especially if the depression is an aftereffect of trauma. Be super understanding and super good to yourself. I always think that if I broke my legs no-one would expect me to run a marathon or even conduct my daily chores without help. When we are traumatized and healing, our "brains" are broken for awhile and we need time and space to heal. Give yourself that time and space. Be patient and kind towards yourself. You are probably depressed because the world didn't give or allow you that respect.

Hello. When I started EMDR therapy my PTSD symptoms got worse for a while. I think this might be normal because those feelings of fear and shame and such have been repressed for so long when they finally start to come out it can feel overwhelming. You may or may not continue with this therapy or this therapist but hang in there on your healing journey. It eventually gets better.

I didn't go to work today because I am paralyzed with anxiety.  I am having horrible bouts with my PTSD and now the anxiety is through the roof.

E f t must be done under the care of a good therapist.  That said working thru things will cause pain.  No way around it.

Depression can manifest itself in our body as well sometimes as headaches or muscle aches - I'm sorry that you are struggling so deeply, it can be scary at times when we don't know what to do to feel better. It took a lot of courage for you to post something so honestly WildernessScout, I hope you will feel better soon. Will pray for you today.
