Never mind your typing I do all mine with my left hand now so I'm sure mines not always that good 🙄. Yes the sun is shining here, that's a first 😄 . I'm good today thanks. Was bad all weekend but then suddenly felt fine about 7pm last night. Fat lot of good that was argh. How are you or more so how was your weekend ? Xx
The headway day out trip went really well on Friday. I was very happy with the way it went. There was only 5/6 of us so when u ready left us know. Because it's a little group you get to know everyone personally so you won't feel wierd xx
I am tempted to start meeting people again maybe - I do really really appreciate the companionship on this forum. I had never been on a forum before this. God i just wish someone had just told me about it 5 years ago - a mnd full of brilliant information and support isnt it ?
Its so lovely that you are involved with the trips and things for Headway. I wish i could do that.
Jules
Like I say I will come meet you and you can break yourself in slowly. I may bite though lol. Only joking 😝 one step at a time, I could come meet you then if you change your Ming we could just wave at each other then walk away. We must get your life back for you, we can't let the bi win. Remember I have been there so if a wave is it for the first time that is totally fine. That means you have made contact with the outside world. A hard step to take I know but a huge step xx
Saying that you may not feel wierd so Iv just put my foot in it big time 😲 lol.
Hi there,
PTSD (in frogs?)
Its odd, but i dont have weekends now, haven't really thought about that before.
Everyday i have my routines which occasionally get uninterrupted by something. I try to sit and do some paid work everyday and that can be any day of the week, i just wait until i feel i want to. At least i no longer get Sunday night Monday morning blues .
Yes, the sun here is glorious. I am sitting by the open doors to the garden, i can see the ponds and the fish swimming. We always have lots of frogs by sadly i also have 4 cats who thing they are amazing jumping toys and bring them into the living room to show me. They never seem to have harmed any yet. Not harmed them physically, but i bet there is some PTSD going on in their little brains..... whole odd world out there isnt it.
Do you know what made you feel better, and then what changed ?
Do you mind if i ask why you have to use your other hand for writing/typing nowadays ?
Jules
It's me that has to use my other hand xx
Ignore that last reply , was having one of them moments 😆xx
I have no idea at all what happened to make me switch. I often do. It's like a light switch, it's very strange. Happened a lot since the crash.
As for my arm. I do have an arm but it's dead, it's broken 🤕 the brain has forgotten it has one. After 5 years it's basically cut off time so the arm is useless. The brain doesn't speak to it anymore. I have what I call a false arm now. It's material pot that is made just for my arm. It has special stitching ect so it hits nerves and tells the brain it's there. They very expensive and cost the nhs hundreds of pounds. Got baby pink and lilac one, lilac and baby pink and a cerise and black. When I can't find it I shout at my daughter saying have u seen my arm. That's what I call it, my arm xx
It makes my arm work a bit xx
Good morning/afternoon Jules, it's evening here. i was just checking in to catch up on reading the posts, before I go off line to wind down with light reading of my book which is called 'an open book' an old autobiography by Monica Dickens. I always have a book on the go to read in bed until I can no longer keep my eyes open, or find that I am reading the same sentence over and over again, then I know it's time to turn out the light, which I do and then wait patiently to fall asleep....
Do you have a nightly routine before bedtime?
I have learned the hard way that too many cups of tea keep me awake. So, I limit my tea consumption at night time. I have found that I am going to sleep and staying asleep for most of the night as my brain is not overloaded with caffeine. On that note, I am ready to for some sleep now as the weather has been quite sunny past few days and have been in the garden laying mulch and planted an olive tree. 😀
Have a good day Jules whatever you do. Claire xx
HelloClara,
'' in the garden laying mulch and planted an olive tree'' 😀
How lovely a picture that congers up
.
Had a day off life yesterday afternoon. Me and my husband made a picnic of humus pitta bread and olives serves with iced juice and lay by the pond on a blanket. We both fell asleep for 3 hours and it was lovely and warm. We had a Dalmatian asleep next to us and 4 cats jumping from the trees playing commando . I have a problem with eating at the moment (quite bad, its been months with just milk) so today was the first time, I am pleased. Right now its 1.45 pm and today it was back to housework and a little paid work. Just taking a break now.
My routine is just trying to mellow with things like a shower and PJ's and a nice movie maybe. I cut out coffee at night recently to see if that helps. Its mainly my bad dreams that wake me or stop me sleeping at all. I am talking to someone about it.
What country are you in Clara and are you from the UK ?
Regards
Jules
