Daily chat thread?

Hello team. Are any of you interested in a daily (ish) chat thread? Where we brain injured can get together any time to chat and whine and grumble or even celebrate the usual everyday nonsense with folk who understand. I love chatting to you all, but days/weeks/months can go by without a relatable post.

So, today is Friday. It's my day off. All the other days of the week have something else going on. But Friday is my favourite day. Don't have to talk to anyone, can eat as much chocolate as I want, no need to focus or collect enough energy to relate to people in a 'normal' way. So I'm having a cup of tea in bed, then I'm off out for a very long walk in the countryside with my dog. Gorgeous weather for it today!

That sounds like a great idea. I would be up for that but can't promise daily with this memory 🤣

great idea especially if you find a small group that are interested/struggling in the same things . Again I don’t have certain times that I go on as it all depends on on how I feel or what I need to do .. I still think it’s a good idea to find a handful of like minded as this will suit lots …Sue

Thanks for the replies. Yes, everyone is describing just what I was thinking about. And of course, there's no need for a timescale. I'm a middle-aged lady with a brain injury trying to figure out forums cos I'm lonely.

I'm exactly the same. Medically retired at 49, bitter pill to swallow. You are not alone x

I changed job due to covid after 24 years. I became a primary school dinner lady which I absolutely loved. Was there 1.5 years before my accident. I was convinced I would be back to normal in 6-8 weeks. God I was in for a shock.Next month marks 2 years and my whole life has been turned upside down but I'm lucky to be alive. I'm slowly learning to live in the moment and it's really the small moments in life that make the best memories (when I some memory 🤣) x

My new "motto" is all about living in the moment. Looking backward or forward - not remotely useful. I'm going to enjoy this beautiful day in the sunshine. Once I've finished my cup of tea in bed. 😊

We will both go by that motto now. What's the worst that could happen 🤣
