Hello
I'm 81 years old and started taking
fluoxetine
around 1995 and stopped taking it (I didn't think I needed it any more and if I did I'd just start taking it again) in April of 2022. I was prescribed
fluoxetine
because of a problem I had with anger.

Sidenafil - does it help ?
hi , I have tried a few different meds for my raynauds including
fluoxetine
most recently. I haven’t found anything that helps and so stopped taking due to certain side effects . Now the weather is getting cold my rheumatologist suggested trying sidenafil (viagra) .

Anxiety and Aggression what Meds Have helped?
When we tried both
fluoxetine
and Sertraline it seemed to make things worse with reckless behavior or suicidal comments. Has anyone had experience with other SSRIs or SNRIs working when
fluoxetine
and Sertraline did not? It’s so much trial and error and we just want to help him!

Just put on 5mg Buspirone twice daily and 20mg
Fluoxetine
for panic attacks and anxiety. Day two and very weird feelings. I can feel anxiety and my jaw is so clenched it hurts. Insomnia and a fear of sleep now? Anybody else have that experience and can share? Any tips to lessen side effects?

Mirtazapine
The GP started him on
fluoxetine
but we didn’t think that was working and a consultant psychiatrist weaned him off , he was still suffering from anxiety and depression , so the GP initiated him on mirtazapine 15 mg, this dose didn’t do much so he’s on 30 mg now , he’s always sleeping and I think

Alcohol
Hey it's been a year since my admission for PP and I'm currently down to 2.5mg Olanzapine but 60mg
fluoxetine
due to depressive episode after my psychosis. I just wondered if anyone has drank alcohol since their psychotic episode and if you were still taking anti-psychotics?

OCD Meds
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs): These medications, such as
fluoxetine
(Prozac), sertraline (Zoloft), and fluvoxamine (Luvox), are often the first-line treatment for OCD.

Changed mood. Isolation.
I have depression and have increased under medical supervision to 60mg
fluoxetine
as my suicidal ideation was bothersome and I'm experiencing lack of energy and ability to do much. I'm walking someone else's dogs while they are away which is getting me out. Every little thing depletes my energy.

Should I be feeling these side effects on fluoxetine?
I’m currently 2.5 weeks on Prozac/
fluoxetine
. First week or so was sheer hell in terms of increased anxiety. Had a couple of good days at the start of this week but suddenly have been hit with severe dizziness/light head. It feels like my whole brain is swimming.

Will I ever feel consistently normal?
I’ve been on 20mg Prozac/
fluoxetine
for a little over a month now (33 days!) and for a brief few days I started to feel more like myself, depression and anxiety greatly reduced. I even found myself randomly singing around the house again!

walking around for three hours
I am also on 900 mg of gabapenguin and 20 mg of
fluoxetine
. I believe the
fluoxetine
and amitriptyline are making my rls much worse. I’m taking the
fluoxetine
for depression and pain following failed back surgery. The amitriptyline is for interstitial cystitis.

Having a tough time
Am moving from
Fluoxetine
to Escitalopram. Have a close friend seriously ill which is affected me also and driving my anxiety. Had what I can only describe as a flare up which started 3 weeks ago. Initially stomach ache and D. GP suggested to keep a good diary and prescribed Omeprazole.

Med Trials - Tell me Your Experiences
Sertraline and
Fluoxetine
made him reckless even at smaller doses. Abilify was horrible and made him fixate on buying things. We originally started on guanfacine immediate release because he couldn’t take a pill and it was compounded to a liquid.

Late life diagnosis - a personal reflection.
The list of anti-depressants long...Imipramine,
Fluoxetine
, Paroxetine, Venlafaxine, Mirtazapine, Amitriptyline, Bupropion, Reboxetine. Some more effective than others and some I could tolerate for only a day or two. Many came with unwanted side effects.

Starting Duloxetine
I'm also reminding myself that both times I've taken new AD's (
Fluoxetine
and Sertraline) I didn't feel anything with the first pill. I've also noticed these couple of days without any AD's I'm actually feeling some things instead of the numbness that comes with the pills.

Fluoxetine (Prozac) to help with extreme hot flash/sweats
It was suggested that
Fluoxetine
(Prozac) might help. Does anyone have any experience, effectiveness, side effects to share using
Fluoxetine
for this purpose? Thanks for any input.
