After 3 instances of gross haematuria with clots in my urine and no UTI, I have had a cytoscopy and a tumour has been found in my bladder. It looked like a sea anemone. I have to wait 4-6 weeks for surgery then a further 3 weeks to find out if it's malignant. I am very worried because the first instance of very visible blood (to thick to test for a UTI) was in January. I live in Scotland. Has anyone else had this experience? What was the outcome?
Tumour in bladder: After 3 instances of... - Fight Bladder Cancer
Tumour in bladder
I had one month of urinating almost pure blood then huge clots..Unfortunately I had an xray that was misreported on as clear...After more tests later I was found to have a very aggressive tumour and was diagnosed as T4 Malignant. That was eight years ago in June My bladder was removed I have a stoma with the related issues but I am alive thanks to the talented medical people who looked after me Not ideal and I was very cranky at being misdiagnosed but what do you do but be grateful to be alive ...Good luck and kee
p asking questions!!!
Why does it take 3 weeks to get the results?? I am t1 high grade aggressive. No muscle invasion..
Now 3 years out NED. Don't stress out (easy to say) . There are many treatments.
Hang in there. One day at a time. Wishing you the very best.
Thanks Rosie. Have no idea why it is a 3 week wait for results. Want everything to happen faster as first bleed was in January. Now have a letter to say 10th August is deadline for surgery! Hope all continues to go well for you.
Had the same ten years ago, had my bladder removed and a neobladder installed ( made from my intestines). Doctors did a great job, no regrets.
Hi ... All hospitals have different waiting times ... If they've found a tumor I'd have thought they wouldn't leave you.. as I was told in a month there would be hardly any difference.. I had about a 3 week wait for results x
Hoping it will be sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed. Have bone pain in my pelvis on right side which I believed to be just wear and tear. Now worried it is possibly the tumour pressing or spread of cancer to the bone. Probably overreacting. Are you cancer clear?
I am 72 and 6 plus yrs ago was diagnosed with BC. Then 2 surgeries, and many years of BCG infusions. No signs of it returning...next inspection Sept 15th. Hang in there. Amazed that it would take 3 weeks to determine if it was malignant .
