sciatic pain

the last few days i have pain all down my right leg into the base of my foot and it is driving me crazy - any advice on what to try to relieve it?

Hi,

I use my TENS machine when this happens and it does help, along with very gentle stretching. It's horrible, isn't it.

I suffer from bilateral siatica from my lower back stenossis. I try to move my leg/s and gently stretch as if I have cramp to eliviate the pain. A warm hottie on lower back / sitting with your leg raised/ pain killers. Usually the intenseness of the pain eases couple days may be longer. Try keep smiling xgins

The only thing that works for me is a tip that my OT told me. Get one of those prickly balls that you pop in a tumble dryer.Put it in between the wall and your sciatic nerve and try to rotate the ball...give it a try x

Although there are many who can offer good advice on how to cope with sciatic pain, there is only one remedy to help with this and that is complete rest and after a few days you should see the pain settling down and becoming easier.

I know that it does seem impossible to just rest as our lifestyels today can be very hectic but complete rest is the only true remedy.
