I would make an appointment with your GP, how can they possibly know over the phone how you are, I really don't understand telephone consultations. Hope you improve soon. Lou xx

Hi they may be symptoms but they need treatment ,ask for a referral to a pain and fatigue clinic ,it will help ,don't be fobbed off ,be gentle with yourself ,and no stress don't over do it ,i only do one physical task a day ,and one mental ,so if I have driven that's my mental , hope that helps take care xx

Good lord do they do a fatigue clinic I didn't know that.

after being signed off from the hosp I sort of shut up and gruel away quietly.

Which is what your GP wants you to do no 10, but I don't think we should do you. At least he should give you the curtesy of seeing you.

Fobbed off just about sums it all up.

We should become the fobless not the hopeless which is how I feel sometimes.

Hi nedd what I have learned has been incredibly helpful.but the fatigue works on us the same as are pain pathways with our internal battle .treat the next month as if you're back at sq one .then just potter nothing strenuous, then one physical job not at a run but slowly if its not done after half an hour leave it till tomorrow.then go back to it keep things like that for a couple of weeks

we then increase to an hour daily ..tthen ads a mental task as before same pace .you will have days then as off you feel human and alive remember the tortoise and the hare good luck ,I may be coming a volunteer tutor for the program one I have gone 6 months like this .but I really feel like I can have a better life now, don't feel like I have lost my self any more

Backs do seem to be a common complaint Fibro or not, but you still need to have it physically checked out.

Try again for that appointment :)

I am sorry about yoour continued pain but glad you did get to enjoy your grandaughter's birthdays. Yes it is very demoralising when this happens and they put any further pain down to whatever you already have instead of thoroughly investigating what might be causing it. If it is the receptionist you are speaking to first I I think you just need to ask for an appointment and don;t explain why you need it as a receptionist isn't medically trained so can't make any decisions on what should or not be looked at. My friend had the same situation and she very nicely asked the receptionist how many years it had taken her to get her medical qualification and the response was she had an appointment for her named doctor the next day with no questions asked and the receptionist always treated her with a good degree of deference afterwards. Good luck and let us know what happens.x

Hi rosewine.

Thanks for your reply it is the doctor when you ring for a appointment the doctore ring you back. You have to explain what is up with you and thn they deside it you need an appointment or just pescription. wouldnt mind if i was their everyday but i will only go if i am very bad .xxx

Hi fibro10

I am so sorry to read that you are in so much pain and I genuinely hope that you can find the answers that you so desperately desire and deserve. I do have very similar pain in the areas that you have mentioned but mine is caused by my arthritis. Coincidentally, I saw my consultant on Wednesday and we discussed this very thing?

I want to wish you all the best of luck and I would personally try again to get an appointment.

All my hopes and dreams for you
