Lupus or Fibro?

I have read that with Lupus people don't always have a rash and it doesn't always show in the blood so if those two symptoms were taken out of the picture how would you know if you had Lupus or Fibro? what are the differences?

Lupus untreated could kill you fibro can't,,, if we are going to be really negative .. I guess that's why we go through so many tests to rule out everything before we get given the diagnosis of fibro

The American diagnostic criteria for SLE does not rely on one test result:

Because many autoimmune conditions do not always show up in blood tests, it is very important that atypical symptoms are not simply put down to Fibro and ignored.

Very good question. I was even tested for Lyme disease but results were negative but saying that its difficult to get a positive result, still worries me they are missing something as I cant believe all of my symptoms are down to FM.
