Pains after a bad migraine followed by a virus/pneumonia and pleurisy in 2009
2009,After the migraine I had to stop driving at night(HGV driver) because the lights hurt my eyes too much and my body clock had gone out of sink( GP thought i’d had a mini TI), a few weeks later I had a virus/pneumonia/pleurisy, my feet and hands started, walking hurt my feet a great deal and fingers don’t want to bend, hands ease off feet take longer.
2009 to 2012, flair ups in hands and feet, lasting from days to weeks, other symptoms but did not link, weak bladder, migraines, headaches, stiffness, feeling like my tendons have tightened up over night.
2012 to present, feet flair up and have not stopped, painful to walk most days pins and needles, pain in toes, on bad days toes don’t want to bend and can last for days, pins and needles can go from my toes to my calf’s, shooting pains in my ankles, weak bladder, headaches, stiffness, feeling like my tendons have tightened up over night, ligaments in my knees start to hurt sometimes making me wince lasting from a few minutes to days, woke up one morning and could not lift my arms very far sideways without a feeling of being stabbed, left arm has got better but right is still the same, had physio on it and a cortisone injection and made it worse, pains in my hips, lower back and feeling of sciatica first thing in the morning lasting from minutes to hours, stiff neck and dull head in the morning, stiff neck at anytime, shooting and stabbing pains almost anywhere at anytime, have bad days and weeks then eases for days and weeks.
Relaxing some nights around 8.30 on wards I start to feel as though i’m on fire from the inside, when in bed the weight of the quilt hurts my toes, my eyes will start watering for no reason and tear ducts will get tender, at times I get an upset stomach then feel as though i’m coming down with a cold/flu then clears, my bladder will make me run to the toilet some days and pass very little and be fine one others, have been on tablets for this and did nothing to help.
Work can be hard with lifting and moving 70kg plus, I sometimes try to lift and I lose all my strength, after a normal days work I often take pain killers Dihyrocodeine, these are for the osteoarthritis in my wrists, they don’t really work but make me as I don’t notice as much, Cold weather can make it worse as my hands and feet get very cold and painful feeling like chilblains and can take a long time to warm up or until I get home, exercise makes thing worse and not doing anything can do the same.
Eyes still hurt in bright lights and can go hazy when tired, my concentration levels are very low and i’m more forgetful, I get very depressed when the pains are high and many.
Pains. From unreal stabbing to sharp twinges to dull aches on most days, now getting muscle aches and weakness, my knees don’t like going up or down stairs and my shoulder and arms feel heavy and tired.
Pins and needles/numbness. Can go from my toes to just below my knees and from my fingers to elbows more so over the last few days.
Tired, most mornings I still feel tired, I have gone from being a very heavy sleeper a very light sleeper.
Weather. Cold makes me ache more where as heat can make me stiffer, taking hot showers help a bit but not for long.
My wife and family don't really understand where i'm coming from with it all, so it's nice to be able to talk about it on here
