Why are there 2 communities for Fibro?
One is foggys this is FA and although I am a member of both I forget to go to that one lol true bout of fibro fog so I tend to stick here where there are more people to answer questions .. I am sure Foggys is just as good but my brain really can't cope with more than one forum.. I used to be on the ibs one too that was the first one I joined than found this one ... Really it's a matter of how many sites you can remember you belong to remember to visit them... When I found this one and realised so many people here have ibs too I left the ibs one as I was forgetting to go back... There are members on here who belong to both and even more sites
Hope that helps

i find this forum is more active and the members and admin are so helpful
That's brilliantly helpful thanks. I can see me using both communities (if I remember!). I have only been using Anxiety UK up to now, and the doctor said last week - sounds like you've got fibromyalgia. I had been getting burning pains which I kept getting told was anxiety. He put me on gabapentin and they have reduced dramatically. I also have ibs and he has already done all tests for 'tired all the time'. I have already been through our local very good pain clinic for chronic shoulder pain. He said most people with Fibro end up at the pain clinic, so I have nowhere else to go really. The local support monthly support group is a good 40 minute drive away. ....so that's the reason I asked and am here. Thank you very much for your answers.
Hello jpars,
Welcome & nice to have you here in the forum
If you would like to read our All About Fibro (downloadable) Factsheets, please see link below:

Just out of interest maybe you would like to look at our Support Group Directory on the website, just in case there is one listed that may be closer.

It's a pleasure. Welcome to the site.. Though as I say to everyone. None of us would be here from choice.. But I hope you find some help here and some friends
VG xx
Awh thanks guys! I've been looking through the information and, despite the circumstances, it's lovely to have found you xx
Welcome Jpars!
I hope you enjoy being here with us. We share tips and helpful hints, have a good moan, and even a good laugh now and again!
I have looked at the other sites, but feel most at home here - like VG I would find it difficult to remember I belonged to more than one site!
