I have insoles in my shoes and it made a lot of difference to my walking once I got used to them. That was before my latest fibro flare ....but I am sure without them I would be worse when I do walk.
Thanks hope all goes well for you too x

I have, i was reffered by my rhuematologist to try to ease the pain in my back and knees. It worked really well on my back, has helped with walking but my knees are still painful. Good luck with yours.
thank you verymuch
Hi, I had a very good experience with physio and it made me feel better boh physically and mentally. I then had to take break for an operation and start again. Be careful not to overdo things. Your physio should know your limits, but my last session started off a flare. So just be careful, listen to your body and all will be fine. Enjoy It!
Physio made me worse it excerbated a flare up of Fibro but I know it works for some people this is the trouble with this aweful condition as it dosn't run true to form with everyone, personally I find gentle swimming helps me more
I attend Physio, It's a mixed blessing. Last week and the week before I was so exhausted afterwards, that I had to keep stopping and leaning against the wall until I felt able to move on. Getting out to the Taxi bay took nearly half an hour! Two years ago I could make it in three minutes!
I quite enjoy Physio, it gets me out of the house, and the exercise bike is quite good, aparf from the saddle, which seriously needs a gel-pad! I get to talk to folk and learn quite a lot information wise, that ordinarily I wouldn't.
They have ordered me one of those four wheeled walker thingies with a seat! Dunno what I'm supposed to do with it! (Suggestions on a postcard, please! Lol!)
Cheers, Midori
Went to physio recently coz my shoulders and arms have become unbearable with pain. After 5 months on waiting list, finally went and was given some exercises that made it worse. Went back and told NOT TO BOTHER COMING BACK FOR ANYTHING becaused it is likely to be the FMS and the nerve pain going berserk and theres nothing they can.do. So does that mean if I break anything not to go back either. Was really upset by their reaction and just kept crying.
awe no you must have felt really bad x
Mine was overenthusiastic and i think made things worse. Developing a routine is really difficult for physio, See if there is a Fm clinic at your local hospital and i hope you get an
understanding physio,
there is one and the pain management conultant says he will get me on the group i think it starts in otober
thanks
