My mind was racing round in bed last night (I tried to catch it but wasn't quick enough!) and because I have been so impressed by Sandra's poems and other little verses which other clever members have posted, I challenged myself to come up with something.
Here goes....
There was once a Government Minister,
Whose thoughts were exceedingly sinister.
He said "Benefits we'll cut,
That'll get them out of their rut
And with any luck it'll finish 'em!"
I had some other ideas but have forgotten them now...lol...
Hope you are all having a reasonable day.
Love and hugs

You need a little fishing net by the side of your bed .. So far this week I have caught a stomach bug and a cold....
I think I'll treat myself to a little fishing net!
Mind you I don't think much of your catch...an old boot would've been better.
I hope you are beginning to recover from the bug and the cold. With Fibro. these things can take ages to work their way through our systems can't they?
You are welcome. I love your poems. You are very talented. Did you learn how to write poetry or is it just a gift? I obviously haven't got a gift for it but I do love reading poems and limericks. I am not too bad at writing prose and would love to write a book but wouldn't know where to start!
Anyway, I really don't have the energy!
Glad you registered with The Ralph Site and I hope it helps you. There is a lovely animated clip of Rainbow Bridge (where all our beloved pets go!) with lovely music. It had me in floods of tears when I first lost my old cat but it was quite cathartic. Do watch it if you haven't already.
