Yup two days ago Mdaisy mentioned as an alternative thing to try ...to take along with our usual meds ... Cherries and / or cranberry juice as both contain anthocyanins which could help with fibro and arthritis...both of which I have... So I hot wheeled it down to local shop on myrtle the turtle ( my mobilty scooter) and picked up some cherries... Then looked for the cranberry juice with no artificial sweetners ... And that's it I LOVE Cranberry juice I am addicted , I sent my OH out last night to buy more.... Cherries are ok but cranberry juice mmmmmmmm . Will let you know if it helps with the fibro and arthritis but it makes me feel great cos I enjoy it so much
please do VG tho i don't like cranberry juice , but cherry juice now that does sound yummyyy
umm will we turn red tho ? i have heard beetroot can turn wee red so i wonder ?
du you take glucosamin and chondroiton ( may not be spelt correctly ) ?
A GP friend says it is proven to help with Arthritis
My Hubby takes it and says it helps his knees , i really should try it
take care xx
Yup I take that too I am always open to any new suggestions... Though I must admit I haven't noticed a change with the glucosamin and chondroitin yet... But it's not doing me any harm so am carrying on with that too... Will let you know if cranberry juice has the same effect as beet root
Looking forward to hearing if the cherries help a little. Soon have you back on that trapeze !!
There is also reports that adding cayenne pepper to your food can also help. Cayenne contains properties that help to naturally reduce Substance P and therefore alleviate pain experience.
According to research people with Fibromyalgia have 3 times the amount of Substance P than other members of the population. Substance P is excitable when you feel pain and research is ongoing as to whether this is one of the reasons we experience pain the way we do.
So, go ahead spice up you life (if you are not sensitive to spicy foods)
Please be aware that for people that are sensitive to medications, this may be something that should be avoided. Capasacin is made from Capiscum pepper and you must be careful when using avoiding eyes as it is similar to pepper spray.
