Hi I,m up in Scotland. Aberdeen, great place to live with an illness that's affected by the cold.......but apart from that love where I live. I just found a support group but have not plucked up the courage to go along yet. Where about are you ?

Annette x

Hi --I am in Aberdeenshire -- very cold, snowy and icy, but very beautiful and peaceful. I have IBS as well as fibro, but am learning to "pace" myself in order to live a "steady but relatively normal life!" Annette, where and when is the support group in Aberdeen? A big "Hello" to everyone in Scotland :) xx

The support group in Aberdeen is on the last Saturday of the month, in Garthdee. Will get the full information and post it on here. If you fancy going along we could always meet up and go together.

How are you doing

I am in Elgin, theres a support group here but I haven't been as I dont have the confidence because of my conditions.

I know how you feel but why don't you take a friend with you for the first visit, sure it would be ok x

in reply totorrytalent

I dont have any friends living up here, I fell ill just a few weeks after moving up here from the Midlands and have been isolated since, that was nearly 12 years ago.

Hi fibromites i stay near callander , i haven't been to a meeting yet as i would like to go with someone. I go to the pain clinic in Falkirk which takes about 1 and 1/2 hours drive to,and know of a fibro meeting there. Hope you are all keeping cosy, take care motzie x.

Hello there Jaov, here is a link to some Scottish Support Groups that we have listed on our main site. Hopefully there is a group closer to you than your current group which might be easier for you to get to.

Hope this helps.
