weak arms!

have noticed lately my arms are getting very weak ,i find it impossible to carry bags or anything around for any length of time.i know its a high probability and probably a silly question ,but does anyone else have experience of this

Yes and weak legs. I struggle to do buttons as well on some days. It all varies from day to day but today ivepretty much had to sit down and my sister in law had to cut up my dinner lol! Take care xxx

yes i do my arms feel heavy so much so i have a job to lift them up and my elbows are so stiff i can hardly straighten them some days i cant carry shopping with my right arm at all at the mo its just to painful

Hi Denice, yes i too have weak arms and when i try to carry on as "normal" they hurt so much and feel really heavy and the same with my legs too. It looks like another gift from fibro. I sit on the stairs at the top with my legs straight out in the stairs below me and that is wonderful for the pain in my legs but i havent found anything to help with the arms so sorry i cant help more but at least you know you are not being silly and its not just you. Yes Denise my arms and legs ( and all of my body really) feel so weak I sometimes wonder when I'm sitting watching tv if I'm getting a stroke as my left arm and leg always feel dead, and when I'm in bed yeah its my right arm and leg, I mean whats that all about? lol

Yes, i feel weak all over, my legs when i finally get moving, feel as though they are lumps of concrete, and my legs are so painful in bed, even the bed covers feel really heavy

mine too denise i can only raise my arms for less than a minute my legs are like lead weights going upstairs think i've nearly pulled stair rail loose by hanging on,my knees are weak too gonna read my paper now with a cuppa ,loads a moaning jacksiex.

Yes Denise I have weakened arms too - I had a flare up of pain in my arms radiating from my elbows which was agonizing for 3 weeks and landed up with them weakened and my hands - am still trying to work out what has happened?

Yes, I have a shoulder bag and I have to swap shoulders every few minutes because my arms are weak and I feel as though I ma going to drop it xxxxx

It's not unusual to feel a weakness in our arms and legs with Fibromyalgia. I find lifting a hairdryer really difficult, also unscrewing jars etc., things I never thought anything of before. We tend to have muscle weaknesses resulting in reduced strength, aching etc. All very frustrating.

yes me too for a long time just drying hair was hard, my arm would just drop dowm for no reason. thought was from a kick in shoulder by a cow when worked on dairy farm years ago but was diagnosed with fibro few months ago. finding it so hard to do much with arms. horse riding being one of them. breaks my heart to not be able to ride no more.
