You made me laugh, I wear varifocals too, plus I am sensitive to light, so even if it isn't sunny I sometimes wear sunglasses, then get weird looks. My fingers seem double the size when I type! You know you wake up and fingers seem swollen but they arn't! Plus I find it hard to get to sleep, then wake up early! Hope you had a good nights sleep djclark x

I also have problems with my eyes constantly watering, blurred vision. I am waiting for a hospital appointment at the eye clinic as a recent eye test showed i have fluid behind my left eye, i have no idea what the cause is, but i will post a blog when i have the results.

Take care

Yep I too have burred vision but my night. Meds say this is a side affect and yes my vision did change suddenly, gone from reading glasses to varifocals all the time.

Hi I am like Bonnielass in that my eyes water & I have blurred vission.

I had a recent eye test & got a new prescription for varifocals. I think some meds can cause the blurriness.

As I read this i have a sinking heart.. Not another thing Fibro does! Grrrrr yes I have glasses, over the last few months I've become obsessed with cleaning them because I think they are smudged because my eyes appear blurred :/

yes, I often have trouble focusing and although I've worn glasses since I was a child, this trouble focusing has nothing to do with my poor eyesight but is a separate issue caused by Fibro, is there no end to it??

I am having trouble with blurring vision and sensitivity to light. I struggle to read things now trying to do the crossword is a nightmare. I noticed this about february but i thought it was because of vertigo but it's got worse lately.

ditto! I often have blurry vision as well. Have always been sensitive to light. I just thought it was a result of wearing contacts so much in my 20-30s

Me too, have blurred vision and floaters. I am a big reader, but after an hour or so I have to put my book down as I misread the words. Just booked another eye test, though they said last time they were okay apart from the floaters, which they can't do anything about. It's interesting that so many with fibro have sight problems, somehow find it reassuring

I TOO HAVE RECENTLY HAD BAD TROUBLE WITH MY EYES AND HAVE HAD TO HAVE LASER TREATMENT AS THE PRESSURE WAS BUILDING UP TOO MUCH. DROPS DID NO GOOD SO THEY LASERED HOLES IN THE BACK OF THEM SO ANY EXCESS WATER COULD DRIVE AWAY. NO PAIN IN THIS WHATSOEVER. SHOULD KEEP OF THIS PC MORE BUT UNFORTUNATELY, AM ADDICTED. AM DUE TO SEE SPECIALIST NEXT WEEK AS LEFT EYE IS NOW QUITE DAMAGED. JUST ANOTHER ITEM TO ADD TO MY FIBRO LIST.

I thought my eyesight was seriously deteriorating. Had eye test in Sept and although my eyesight had gotten slightly worse, they said it was the fibro and meds causing me to have a delay in focussing on things but once I had my eyesight was ok. Luckily doesn't affect me driving. Had to have new glasses with anti-glare on them. So yes it does affect.

Hate to say this people but ! I was diagnosed through my eye symptoms. I was attending the opticians and I had jumping eyesight. I had to stop driving because one minute I was looking at the road and next the road would jump to the side, I was sent to the eye specialist as this had been happening for years. Doctor was not amused that this was allowed to continue for so long and, from there started a battery of tests, x-rays, MRI etc etc etc the usual, got so fed up after listening to the wee lassie who thought she knew it all ( you know the kind ) never lived long enough looks down nose and tells you " its all in your head " my answer, " my dear I am awfully glad that you have diagnosed me with walking about with someone else s head ".

Anyway went with my intuition and got home, phoned doctor and asked for a rheumatoid arthritis test.....................results positive but don't have it ?....off to see rheumatologist and diagnosed......fibro, osteoarthritis etc etc etc

That ladies was the beginning........................no medication just sight problems, forgot photosensitivity..........life is wonderful and when it isn't.................sleep ..............meditate...........swim.........talk...............and remember wether we like it or not, pain tells us we are still alive.

Hi everyone, my eyes have worsened just had eye test and was told my sight within a year has suffered. Everything but capital letters is blurred, I also have floaters, blackness which comes across my eyes. Also was told I have dry eye syndrome, just other symptom to add to our long lists. Also have had to have tinted lenses!! All I can say to everyone is take great care of yourselves and try to live our lives to our best ability.... We all have more bad time then good but people don't see what we are feeling so they just think it's nothing. So as long as we are here for one another we know that there is love and support and help when we need it. Blessed Be <3
