My lovely dog is back home - huge relief! But very tired today ....

My lovely retriever Harry seems to have made a great recovery so far, but I had an hour drive to pick him up and back again followed by a Charity Ball in the evening.

Why does life not understand that I need to pace? The Charity Ball has been in the planning for nearly 2 years (I am a Trustee for the Charity) and when I wanted and needed to rest and take my time in getting ready - it all happened in a different than expected way.

I am pleased to have my lovely dog home - but he is a bit quieter than usual and needs to be rested so he can make a recovery from the surgery. I can't take him for his walks at the moment - which I am missing as much as he is probably.

So, I have managed to sleep for a bit longer but need to rest today as it was a busy and stressful day yesterday. Thank goodness I have taken a week off work next week.!!

Glad to hear that your doggy is on the mend and I hope that you recover from your busy weekend soon too! Jane x

So pleased your dog is on the mend and home, what a relief for you! Our two dogs mean the World to my family, we would be lost without them. They are little members of the family each with their own personality. What would we do without our lovely dogs! :)

Try to pace yourself and rest when you can, I know it's easer said than done. I constantly tell myself to stop and rest, but it's a case of "in a minute!". Take care. :)

Hello

Make sure you have a lovely relaxin week off and recharge the batteries. I am sure Harry will love having you home and it will help his recovery too. Like Liberty says our dogs are a big part of the family. Mine I'd my fur child.

My dog was not great after the last general she had...she was phased out for about a week after...I am not keen for her to ever go under again as she was not herself last time.
