Clocks went back last night .... Of course we forgot.. But that extra hour was needed.

As my autistic son who hates change doesn't like the clocks being fiddled with so was up and down most of the night checking that the time was right... At 4.30... In new time 3.30i am afraid I snapped and marched him to his bedroom snarling as its Sunday now it doesn't matter about the @@@@@@ time just sleep and get up when you want to. I am afraid my maternal instinct which in normal circumstances is too much for my son .. He hates shows of affection and worry. Doesn't kick in in the early hours of the morning....unless something like illness or fire should occur.

If I fall asleep during the F1 Indian gp which starts now I am not going to be happy... And if I have to look at my husbands missing belly button one more time I may just sit in the garage for the rest of the day gibbering softly

Ps Good morning everyone

VG xx

I haven't yet told my autistic son that the clocks have gone back - so he is still snoozing. I think I must have spent the extra hour creeping round the house after he had gone to sleep, putting all the clocks back.

Well worth it though to save the stress of telling him. He must have woken, stared at his clock and then decide he woke to early and turned over, though even by his standards, it's getting late, not worth the aggro of waking hin though.

Hope your husband finds his belly button VG :)

Hiya,

Believe me it's only been a week but I am tempted to sell the house, it's contents or even my body to pay for reconstruction surgery to get him his beloved belly button back... Actually forget that I,ll make him one out of plasticine for Christmas much cheaper ......

Oh dear you do make me laugh. I was just picturing your hubby on a belly button hunt (bit like an easter egg hunt)Can't you just draw a belly button on your husband with a marker!? :-)

It is a shame about both your sons, it must be hard. Would not making a fuss about it and just carrying on as though nothing is wrong with the time work. It must be hard for you both. I have such admiration for you both.

I wish we didn't have to do this silly clock thing. It upsets so many people.

Thanks piggles , as my post said ...me and my oh forgot so all would have been well but my son was chatting online with classmates he does that better than face to face and he heard about the clocks...note for spring ... Turn off the Internet on clock evening..... Though that may cause another disaster... Give me time I.ll find a solution

I didn't fall asleep during GP only 3 races left of the season then no more Michael Schumacher weeps quietly....

Hubby and I completely forgot about the clocks going back last night, first time ever! It was great when we woke up, we thought it was late and it was earlier - pure bliss! I think I will forget every Autumn, I really didn't mind it this time!

I hate the Spring clock change though, wish I could forget that one. Clocks going back are great, clocks going forward are awful. No-one wants to lose time, it's so short anyway.
