Hi,Great news well done to you.Any tips for me as i am going to apply for dla i have oa fibro ibs rynuards and only 40% hearing in my right ear none in left so how best to apply? Thanks xx jo
Hi jolow, get someone like CAB to help you fill out your form, I didn't! Wish I had though, I seen them about the appeal and they said I should have gone to them! I am appealing the decision as am trying to get mobility component too! Not being greedy but need a lot of help getting around good luck xxxx
I too had to give up work ...only get lowest care dla yup it's a big reduction but from all I read on here I feel lucky that I have even got that... So many people on here are refused dla... I walk on sticks or elbow crutches use a mobility scooter and can't manage stairs so moved to bungalow and still told I don't qualify for mobility... Have tried appealing got nowhere so accept what I have.
yup it sucks.... But as you can see from replies it's so hard to get any dla we are lucky

I've posted this before but I hope it will help you too.
ask admin for the benefits and work info and go through each point refuting them.
fill in the health conditions page copy it and give 1 to your gp and 1 to your consultant, ask first if they will write you a letter of support. Ask them to send the letter for you for your appeal pack. [copy them]
join vasculitis uk and click on the "route map to vasculitis" and there you can look up your meds and their side effects. there are some reputable sites for fibro on google, print the relevant parts and put them in your appeal pack. keep a copy of everything.
good luck.
