A novel way of falling asleep.

I lay awake last night getting more and more pain generating from a multitude of points in my body. I remember thinking how on earth am I going to get through this because I've had all the painkillers I can. I didn't know where to put myself as the pains were so bad, then suddenly I woke up in the morning when my carer came.

No it wasn't some Paw Ewing type of dream. I think I had been in so much pain I actually passed out!!! Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Poor you! That sounds really dreadful. Maybe it is time you got your GP to review your meds as nobody should be in that much pain. I do hope that you are a bit more comfortable tonight. Thinking of you. Jane x

I will go to my GP (who is as much use as a chocolate teapot) next week and see what he suggests ....

I had that in the early days Julie, I had times when I didn't know whether I was asleep, awake, dreaming or having a nightmare! Very scarey indeed! I put it down to the fact I was on so many meds that they were sending me slowly doolally! I saw my Consultant and my meds were changed and it never happened again. I also felt like there were two of me at times, hard to believe but so frightening!

I hope you get your situation sorted out next week Julie, I do feel for you, it's a horrible situation when things seem out of your control. Take care luvvie and let me know how you get on please. ((( hugs ))) xxxx

I have never classed it as passing out but I do know what you mean. I am often awake right up until around 6am, in pain, jerking limbs and spasms and stuff. The the next thing I am waking up again about an hour or so later. I have always classed it as my body just shuts down as it cannot take anymore. My GP agrees with that so I have got used to it after the 20 years or so. xxxxx
