Hi,In answer to your question yes julieevh is right you can apply through your local council also from neighbourhood office or online if easier just type in blue badge rest is fairly easy and no you won't need a medical if you get high rate mobility.X jo

Hi, I am in the process of apply for a badge, and also work for my local authority. You can can contact them to send out a form. Once completed they will decide wither you meet the criteria and then assess your mobility if you do, before making there final decision.

Hi I just got my blue badge after 14/15 yrs of fibro. My county council have the office that deals with it for Leicestershire and they sent the forms out although I actually did the application on line, quite lengthy so take your time. The regulations have altered since my previous applications and you now fill in all the medical details yourself although of course they want t know who is treating you for the condition(s) you list. Conditions you list- plural. If you have other recognised conditions besides fibro then list them. It all helps.

In my case since I last applied I have been diagnosed and treated for osteoarthritis, an inoperable prostrate cancer and breathing problems that were brought on by the treatment for the cancer but haven't gone away, so they all add up.

Good luck.
