Is it worth trying for a blue badge? I am finding it harder to walk even shortish distances. I have never applied for anything.

Many thanks. Take care.x

Yes it's worth applying, if you find it hard to walk any distance then apply. That's what the badge is for. Good luck!

In my area we apply to our local council which I did as I struggle with walking and other things I had to give them a list of all my medication and how the condition affects me and was very grateful to be awarded it especially after been turned down for DLA but cannot cope with the stress fo fighting for that again at the moment.

Good luck x

That's right! If you receive the higher mobility rate of DLA, you should get it automatically. If not, then you may need to ask your GP to support your application. That's how I got mine. And once I had my Blue Badge, I applied for a higher rate of DLA - and my award was upped from lower rate to upper rate mobility. And thanks to this, I became eligible for a Motability car.
