I came across this YouTube video earlier.....mind you, even faking it looks like hard work. Some of the tips did make me laugh though and I might give them a try next time my MIL pounces
haven't looked at the video but was told a good tip, always keep some get well soon cards on your mantlepiece, that way anyone comes in and sees a mess they will think you haven't been well enough to tidy up.

I have plenty of friends but the few who actually visit have to take me as they find me I'm afraid... I do what I can but as for the rest, it just has to stay undone.
I used to have a cleaner come in once a week to do the things I couldn't, but when they cut my DLA, the cleaner had to go, it was nice to not feel embarrassed about the state of the place while it lasted. I think one of the things I miss most is having the duvet cover on the duvet instead of underneath it, looks much nicer and stays put better. xx
