How to fake a clean house!

I came across this YouTube video earlier.....mind you, even faking it looks like hard work. Some of the tips did make me laugh though and I might give them a try next time my MIL pounces ;-)

Hope you are all having a reasonable weekend

Be easier to delicate lol and THATS saying something!!!

Totally agree. I delegate stuff to my OH all the time, trouble is he doesn't share my sense of urgency and just replies 'later darling'! J x

haven't looked at the video but was told a good tip, always keep some get well soon cards on your mantlepiece, that way anyone comes in and sees a mess they will think you haven't been well enough to tidy up.

What a great idea! I have put mine away in a draw as they were out for so long when I first became ill. Perhaps it is time to get them out again! J x

Crikey!! She spent more time than I do when I clean!! I just use anti bac cleaning cloths and use them for almost everything!!

;-) yes, she certainly deserved her cuppa! I think it would take me a few days to do what she did!

Its easier to just discourage visitors, I'd be laid up before I got through a fraction of that!

in reply toArctoLindy

I can see your point! Fortunately I don't get too many visitors though and the ones that do still come are worth a bit of effort ;) J x

I have plenty of friends but the few who actually visit have to take me as they find me I'm afraid... I do what I can but as for the rest, it just has to stay undone.

I used to have a cleaner come in once a week to do the things I couldn't, but when they cut my DLA, the cleaner had to go, it was nice to not feel embarrassed about the state of the place while it lasted. I think one of the things I miss most is having the duvet cover on the duvet instead of underneath it, looks much nicer and stays put better. xx

You might be starting a whole new trend there! ;) J x
