I have noticed that some fibro friends also have Me. Are they very different and what are the symptoms like for ME.

ME (aka ME/CFS and CFS) is quite similar to Fibro but there is less of the excrutiating pain and more overwhelming fatigue. I have both and on a bad day can easily sleep 20 hours.

Having both is a right royal pain in the butt!

I have M.E. and I think the main difference is that fibro sufferers have more deep pain than us, we seem to suffer with the tiredness a lot more. But, saying that, I can only speak for myself, as I know there are ppl a lot worse than me, as there does seem to be different degrees of severity to it. X

I have Fibro and CFS/ME, as the posts say above Fibro is more intolerable pain and CFS/ME is almost extreme fatigue to the point where you literally can't move you are so exhausted.

There are also a few overlaps of symptoms with Fibro and the other conditions, some more severe and some less severe if that makes sense, cases tend to vary as with just having Fibro.

I've ever been given a dx of cfs/me even though I have the extreme fatigue as you described with the inability to speak then either.

I have Fibro and CF, my daughter has ME, she seems to have a host of different conditions which means she spends a lot of time in bed, has a lot of food intolerances and being so frail she needs a buggy to help her get around. Quite a difference I think to Fybro, although we both have CF and body pains. Hope this helps.

morning i too have m.e and fybro like my fella does too.and totally agree with all above.i sometimes think which one is worse?

i cant stand either as im sure all above cant...i too have alot of food intolerances with m.e and they call it the umbrella illness as you tend to get many other problems alongside the m.e.

Thank you for your replies, I was asking because I have extreme fatigue sometimes and I spend a lot of the day in bed, just so weary I cant keep my eyes open and have to sleep. I too have lots of food allergies, such as wheat, gluten and dairy and mouth ulcers and sores, and I read that these are all symptoms of me.

Hi - I have fibro (don't know if I have ME) but for me the worst symptom is the fatigue.
