And it's one of the nicest names I ever been given.
This morning my little grandaughter celbrated her 9 month birthday by staring at me, giving me a big smile and shouting NanNan, she repeated it several more times today just to make sure I knew my name
NanNan xx

How lovely - a treasured memory for you to hug to your heart!
Grand-children are just wonderful, aren't they!! xx
Hi Julie,
You must be chuffed, you're so lucky my grandaughter is the same age as yours, and I was over in the US for her birth, but obviously cant see her or be with her all the time, sad to say, but luckily for modern technology, I often see her by video link, God bless her and her sister, fond regards Claire xxxxx
My grand-daughter has a grand-dad and step-grandma in Texas ... she has seen Grand-dad when she was 2 months old and is still to see step-grandma. her paternal grandparents and spouses are all down in the south east (London and Kent - we are in Staffordshire) so I'm her only regular grand-parent ... I'm very privileged
You are blessed believe me I know I miss my grand-daughter and her sister (her moms first child), so much you cant believe it, every time we see those babies creeping and shuffling on the carpet in that add for nappies, we all go "oh! would you look at Claire Belle", she was called after me and her other granny whos called Clara Belle, she's precious xxx

Such a joy. My Grandaughter has discovered I have a christian name and now calls me Mamma Lynne . Until he could pronounce his Gs My Grandson called me 'Hannah'. I say I work at keeping my fibro under control because of my Grandchildren, but that having them keeps the fibro in perspective. x.
That's lovely, my sister has 2 little girls. Mum wants to be Granny, the eldest calls mum that but the youngest will not have it, mum is nanny!! She loves it though. xx
That's lovely I have a 15 month old grandson who lives with me and I love nothing better than going to him in a morning and he holds his hands up to me saying nan nan, and the toothy smile, gives me somthing to wake up and drag myself out of bed for no matter how much pain I'm in.
Arghh that so nice I have three grandchildren, one of sixteen, one of just 3 two weeks ago and one who will be 5 in a week.Their names all start with the letter J..The two little ones call me nanny or grandma and they call my husbnd grandad. The l6 year old does not say too muh but we are called nanny nd grandad by him. Thanks for sharing that with us all.The little ones do help the pain of fibro somehow.
