Just had the fright of my life. Got up from sitting on the sofa & my left leg was completely dead l nearly fell over and now I have a twisted ankle. I still feel really shaken up.
Is this due to the Fibro, anyone else get this too?

Fibromyalgia is most commonly associated with widespread pain, but its symptoms can also include numbness and tingling, particularly in feet, legs, arms, hands and face. This is called Paresthaesia, and is seen in around one in four people with the syndrome so it's quite common, but can be quite frightening when it happens. It can also follow a spasm.
Spasms can stop blood going to the fingers and toes, arms and legs etc, so they tingle, and then become white, cold and numb. As the areas warm up and the blood starts moving again, they can begin to tingle once more, and become red.
If you are at all worried about this please see your GP to have a chat about it and possibly a medication review too. Hope this helps, take care.
Thank you, that is reassuring.
I had this in May when I was on holiday in Greece. Frightened my poor hubby to death when I told him I'd lost the use of my one leg!!! Hasn't happened since to that extent, but I suffer with numbness and weakness in my arms and legs frequently.
I'm currently led in bed with a out of use leg. Came home last night from work, sat down and both my legs just disappeared. The feeling in my left leg came back quite quickly with a bit of massaging, but I went to sleep with a non existing right leg. Woke up this morning, had about 20 minutes of a very sore leg and now its gone again. I've never had anything like this in the 5 years I've had fibro. So I am very nervous. I had an awful day at work yesterday, lots of mobility and no rest. So I think I've just overdone it. So glad I found this post and others, was beginning to think it wasnt my fibro but something else even if though this post is 2 years old.
