Everyone has different things that help. Maybe heat pads or a nice long soak in the bath could help?

I know how you feel. It's exactly what I do. Warm baths don't seem to help me so I lay on the sofa and eat icecream! Everyone if different. I watch cheesy films and look for errors. It takes my mind off it.

I have a lot of pain in my legs and they become weak especially when I am stressed - or not pacing enough so I try and chill out and spoil myself rest and start again (also eat well no processed) neese. x

One word...MAGNESIUM.everyone with fibro needs to be taking it. It will take about 4weeks and dont stop take it every day. Must be the blend with calcium. I use a powder one in my smoothie and take tablets when traveling. It will help.

Hi,

For years l had leg pain. spent the earth on a special cushion for my driving seat as my thighs hurt so much after a while. That passed off but now if l sit too long at home l get terrible pains in my pelvic area, despite using special cushion.. The trick is not to stay still for too long. l know that's difficult when you feel like a wet dish cloth. lt helps if you've got a cat and a dog who constantly want some form of attention. lol.

I've recently started to take Magnesium and Turmeric after stopping prescription pain killers which make joints bleed, causing Fibrin to build up round the joints, thus affecting mobility. I'm much happier as pain isn't so much a problem now. Fibro is a disability even though it's not obvious like having a leg in plaster, which will come off in 6 weeks. Some people can be very derisive about , ' This so called illness," saying," lt's all in the mind", but don't let them drag you down or suck you dry. Tell them, 'Please close the door behind you,"

Conserve your energy, l only have about 2-3 hours a day and what doesn't get done today might get done tomorrow....maybe, perhaps, possibly. lf l push myself on a good day l'm no good for anything for several days. lt's all down to pacing and getting your priorities in order. lf you have appointments one day then don't exert yourself the day before or after. Learn to relax, watch something on tv that makes you laugh or read a magazine.. nothing too taxing. Just remember to be kind to yourself, don't feel guilty because you're neither the life and soul of the party, "Oh , how l wish", or that you haven't cleaned the kitchen floor in ages. It's taken me over 30 years to understand my Fibro, which is compounded with other debilitating conditions, because until recently there was no information forthcoming.

Take care, God Bless, Jacqui.

Hi,

I have pain in the top of my thighs a lot in the day making it uncomfortable to walk, at night I wake up with pain in my back and sides. My osteopath treats me with accupuncture which has eased the stiffness and he says it's some sort of a virus. I'm talking to my doctor on Monday as I'm confused and I hope it's not my kidneys!,

Hi, I too was diagnosed 2 years ago but I've had the fibro for years before then.

I get pains in my legs sometimes, also restless legs. We all have different symptoms sometimes and although we have quite a few, we don't all necessarily get the same symptoms. So just because no one else seems to get the same symptoms doesn't mean they're not caused by the fibro.

I haven't got a bath, just a wet room but really miss my bath and would love to soak in one when I'm in pain.

Ordinary pain killers won't help, hasn't your doc put you on something stronger? I'm taking Pregabalin and Tramadol and even then they don't always help much, but even just taking the edge off helps a bit.

Hope you get something to give you relief from the pain soon.
