I got a blue badge and worked
Hi Lexie I stop working in April and do have a badge, do apply it really does help and takes alot of pressure off esp with work hugs and smiles xx
Very valuable. Apply for one!!!
Blue badges are for mobility problems and it makes no difference whether you work or not. So worth applying for.
I used to work with a girl who had had most of her lower leg bone removed and replaced due to bone cancer, and she had a blue badge whilst she was at work. She had a profound limp and found walking painful, so she found that it helped her to stay in work - definitely give it a go.

Blue Badges should be automatically awarded if you are in receipt of HRM/DLA. As DLA is an "in work" benefit then being in work shouldn't stop you getting one on other mobility grounds.
Hello - we used to live in the East of the country and had a brill doc who insisted
I have a Blue Badge. I only used it when I was having a really bad day and was
careful not to if I was not too bad. We recently moved to the West coast and my
badge is due for renewal soon. Hope my new doc is sympathetic to the level of
pain as I cannot walk much due to the pain. Hope this answers your question. Just
because you'r not wheelchair bound doesn't mean that you'r not in terrible pain.
