So I got hit when I was stationery. Van hit me at 40 mph but may have been faster. He wasn't paying attention to the vehicles in front. He also admitted to smoking weed in a company van. Also left the scene of the accident. I hurt all over. Hips, neck, legs, head, chest. Major flare up since the crash.......

Aw Dolphin100, definitely get checked for whiplash. I had similar a few years ago, hit so hard my car was written off as the whole frame was twisted. Get plenty of heat into your neck & take it easy, gentle (((hugs)))
So sorry for this 😞 Definitely check for whiplash.
My hubby who is with chronic back pain and cancer, was hit similar way.
Nothing in the moment but in the evening he became worse and had to go to A&E.
Lots of doctor visits and scans since.
On his regular cancer check in March the blood tests indicated inflammation and some other stuff causing concerns for the cancer.
When the consultant heard about the accident she was furious.
Asked for new tests and he is on additional medication at the moment plus checks every 3 months, not 6 as before.
Last week the admin at the GP surgery asked me if I want a report for a medical claim.
Did not consider it before, didn't even claim for a car damage the 1st time, but now...
He cannot work now at all, in pain all the time, etc..., so next week he has another consultant appointment and after that if the news are bad, will consider it.
So, I don't know what exactly is happening with you at the moment, but take it seriously.
An accident is a serious stress on your body and can take weeks, even months to get better.
And yes, usually we don't want to get involved in something like claim because of additional stress, but there are *No win, No fee* lawyers who will do all the work, and I saw some specializing in claims for people with fibromyalgia!!!
The other driver caused you a pain, a flare, and he run away..., so he has to pay.
I am working myself out now...
Sorry for the rambling
Take Care of yourself
Aww thank you. I've spoken to 111 and been seen by urgent care all have noted the injuries down. I feel physically sick when I try and get in the car. It has knocked my confidence big time. I've never been hit in 9 years. I have an email from the company that says they will incur all costs involved so he will be paying all my fees as well. I dont understand why the driver and company think its okay to smoke weed while driving a company vehicle. I keep having nightmares and flash backs of the incident. Don't worry about the rambling think I've just done the same. Xx
If you watch programmes like Police Interceptors or Motorway Cops, it’s staggering the amount of people who are stopped for drug driving, both cannabis and cocaine. Obviously they try to get these people off the road.
I wouldn’t underestimate the psychological effects of a car accident. I was never able to cope with driving after mine some 25 years ago and as a pedestrian and even bus user it took several years to cope. Of course I was suffering from PTSD which was unknown then.
I’d urge you to ask your GP to refer you so that you can get help with this now and this condition can then be added to the effects on you of the accident.
Hope you begin to recover soon.
I was stationary at traffic lights when hit by van. Car written off. My neck became stiff and had 6 months if physio in order to regain full movement.... Is now a pain centre when having a flareDo get checked re need for physio as you don't want problems in future...
