Hi Sharon

If you watched the Olympics you would have seen the word ATOS all over the medal ribbons so I guess ATOS also sponserd them. Its ironic that our goverment is paying a french company that can sponsor a large event such as the Olympics and the Para olympics and that ATOS can then decide on a whim via there computers the lives of many disabled people some of whom have taken their own lives because of this company. I personally think that Cameron isnt bothered about disabled people or people who have conditions such as ours that are invisible, even though during his campaign a man asked him if he was going to stop his disability benefits, Cameron replied no. I have no faith in any goverment whatsoever because they all lie, I think our society is changing for the worse, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and there is no one out there that gives a hoot about anyone anymore. We all have to stick together us Fibromites and maybe one day our pleas will be heard. Dave xxx

Hi Dave, i watched a lot of the olympics but i never noticed!! then again i was paying attention to the athletes not the sponsers. I can't stand cameron especially as i wrongly thought that he would help the disabled, considering his late son was. I bet if labour tried to fleece the disabled when they were in power, he would have kicked up a stink and constantly refered to his sons condition.

Hi Sharon

I hope you wasnt watching the medal ceremony for the 4 man boat race especially the silver winners from the USA L O L

o.m.g are they trying to prove us all liars .

what a bunch of liars.....should be ashamed.

I think wearing a medal with atos on it would feel like an insult, esp when they have to work so hard,,,,,

It is called "PR" - public relations exercise no doubt - trying to pull the wool over our eyes and say they are a caring company........ well we all know different but lets also remember it is OUR government that are pushing for these changes - shame on them - they do not have to live in the real world!

its all pr they are sarcastically saying look you do not need benefits you can do this then you can work. they do not understand or care, ad for Cameron someone says that he should understand because of his son. It was sad but the money he has he did not have to suffer like us

I didn't think about about camerons wealth when i said i'd have thought he would have been understanding. Like you say he would'nt have had to struggle with money while dealing with a disabilty!!

Was just wondering as I read these comments, and then I read yours webby, that made me think.(DANGEROUS! ) Do you think any of those competing in the Para Olympics get any kind of disabilty benefits? They are clearly disabled. Just wonder if those of us lucky enough to be granted any kind of benefit, then went out and careered around a field in a wheel chair or went mountain climbing, with our aides! Would then be considered scroungers and able to work?? Don't get me wrong, I really do admire the Para Olympians, more so than the able bodied. Just had me wondering. Perhaps they do all manage to hold down jobs as well. That's the trouble with Fibro. If we had lost a leg we could be seen to be disabled! Tho, sure I read a very sad post on here recently where someone clearly disabled, had lost a limb(s) but still was deemed fit for work! Hope I'm not having a ''foggy'' moment and this makes sense. My husband is an above knee amputee ( car crash) and is on benefits. He is certainly not up to careening round, either in a wheelchair or with a prosthesis. Most of them running I would guess to be below knee amputees ( it makes a huge difference). Mind you he is coming unto 60!
