Does anyone know the chances of being awarded PIP without a concrete diagnosis. I have reduced my days of work to 4 but still don't qualify for help with rent and council tax as they say I earn too much, will this affect a PIP claim as well as not being formally diagnosed?
Many thanks in advance

Oh also you need to base the claim on your worst day. That’s when what the CAB recommend. It’s hard with our conditions because we can’t say how many good or bad days we will have in a week etc. So you just base it on your worst
PIP is a benefit to help with your daily living activities and mobility issues and is awarded if you can or cannot preform the PIP descriptors safely and repeatability and in a timely manner. PIP is not awarded on a diagnosis or disability or the medication you are prescribed. Look at PIP descriptors and take a self test to see how you would fair, be honest with your self as should you apply for PIP the answers given in your application form will have to be justified at your assessment.
Hun from experience the best possible help to gt PIP will be from medics in writing, they may charge you for this.. make yourself a word document of how your illnessess affect your daily life NOt what you suffer from, the object of getting PIP is to ascertain what if any daily help you might need, I had to help m y sister thru court of appeal to get her on PIP, I have to warn you is it gruisome. See if you can find yourself a local Welfare Rights officer and make an appointment, take with you medical written evidence and your own version in a word document; of daily difficulties leave no stone unturned and include personal hygeine issues.
I know for a fact you can get PIP without diagnosis. It’s about how your health issues affect you daily. I’ve been on PIP for 8/9 years now and my youngest too. He never had a diagnosis on his aspergers but like his brother who did get one he struggles every hour of every day. All you need to do it bombard them with information. Anything you have reports wise, give them your docs name and anyone else you’re under as they contact them. And get some help to fill the forms out as it makes a huge difference x
It's based on how you are affected 50% of the time over a 12 month period, I keep seeing people state to base it on your worst days but I've been told you shouldn't do this. There is a lot of mixed info on the internet so if I were you and you are going to claim PIP, I would try and get some help from an advice centre with it.
Be honest, explain HOW everything affects you causing g pain, exhaustion etc. From getting out of bed, dressing, washing , eating, working, not sleeping absolutely every way you are affected and any thing you need to help you, picker up thing, special cutlery, needs at work. How you cope with work, is it by doing nothing when at home? Etc .it is all based on how you are affected. Good luck
Thank you all so much once again... everything that's been said has helped as I didn't know where to start.
I am literally exhausted, I'm finding life hard atm. I am trying to find something to pick me up, I have no energy or motivation to do anything. Any advice once again would be great ❤
I’ve been diagnosed with fibromyalgia around 6 months but I’ve had symptoms for many years. I’ve had both knee’s replaced but I’m still having a lot of pain from them plus 3 months ago I had a laminectomy op on three of my vertebrae but again I’ve still got sciatic pain 24 hrs a day and about a month ago I’ve been told by a consultant both my feet/ankles are full of osteoarthritis so even walking small distances I’m in constant pain so even with all this and other things going on with me I really don’t think I’ll be able to get pip I’ve read so many story’s of people much worse than me and not getting anything so I’m really not hopeful
