Do you get DLA that is a totally seperate benefit and is not taxable and doesn't matter how much you earn or don't ... It may well be PIP in your area now ... If touhaven't already claimed this .. Get an application pack and if you want help with filling it in please email us

At info@fibroaction.org and put the heading with the benefit you are claiming for and we can send out the help sheets for free

appeal , phone them up. if they say you are to late to appeal tell them they did not tell you that you could appeal tell them you want to appeal to go in the support group . they should have told you about appealing.

Thanks hunny. I have phoned them and explained my situation and she said I have to write a letter of appeal and the reasons why I should have been in support group, she said it can take 6-12 months. But if I can get more evidence of my illnesses it might not have to go to appeal court, iam going to the docs tomorrow so I will ask my doc if she will support me and send them a letter. At least iam being listened to now x thanks again for your help x

I, like you, have been put into WRAG when I should have been in the Support Group. I have appealed and sent evidence with support from my GP. I have then sent a further letter with more evidence - both sent by Recorded Delivery. I rang on Monday to whether they had received these and to verbally tell them that I have now been diagnosed with Skin Cancer too on top of everything else and have had to have two lots of surgery for it since May. They were very sypmpathetic and said I should write in as this would help my appeal no end, so make sure you keep on trying as I'm sure you deserve to have your case heard. I'm 60 soon and have been on IB for almost 10 years with my husband taking EVR to look after me but am determined to continue my fight for continued Support Group as if they stop WRAG we only have his FS pension and will have to wait years more for state pension.

Good luck and fight the good fight.

I'm not 100% sure but once a claim on Contribution based ESA ends, to reclaim again based on Contributions, you have to have actually paid contributions, therefore have had to been in work to pay the contributions. they have done away with the Linking Periods I think now! whereas if you stopped claiming and went back within a certain period you would still qualify, but under all the changes i think this has been lost!

I think the only other way is Income related and if your OH works then you may not qualify for that. sorry couldn't help.

Thanks fibro. Yes it has all changed. I won't get any help as OH works. I wish there was a magic wand to banish fibromyalgia. And I could get back to my old self and enjoy my life and work for my own money, I loved my work befor fibro I miss working more than anything x
