Sadly I think we can. fibro is more to do with the pain we have and M.E. is more to do with fatigue and feeling tired all the time. Really sorry to hear you have been told you have both.

Hugs to all xxxx

Thank you pinkpig think i am in shock

Yes you can, i have both too. Mine was two seperate things that started the fibro and the me. It is a shock but help through talking to people on here who know exactly what you are going through helps alot.

I havent been able to get on the site for four weeks and i suffered for it.

I hope you can take it all in soon and look after yourself, pacing is the absolute key.

hugs, kel xxxx

like you said it is such a struggle doing the simple things I have my gorgeous 4 kids and they help me so much and my husband does all the cooking, cleaning, etc you just have to get all the help you can and pace yourself. set yourself a little goal each day just something simple that helps me to feel like i am still acheiving something.xx

I too have ME and Fibro. I was diagnosed with ME first some 13 years ago and then fibro last year, but I know I have it at least 10. I have to say at the moment it's the fibro more than the ME that I suffer with xx

take care

Jax xx :)

I have both too, Fibromyalgia and CFS/ME. I was diagnosed at different times. Like with Jax above, it's my Fibro that causes me the most problems. I find that pacing myself is really important having "both" conditions, otherwise the pain from Fibro and the complete exhaustion with having CFS/ME becomes too much at times. By pacing and introducing enough rest periods in between doing activities, this also helps me manage my pain. Hope that makes sense. :)

I too have both the consultant says mine are secondary to an unknown condition which has caused them 2 yrs down the line still no help with finding the cause just treat the symptoms I find a nap in the afternoon really helps and I sleep better at night if I do this. I have the pain from fibro alongside the ME together So a good day is good but a bad day is dreadful and usually takes me about 3 days bed rest to recover.Take care xxx
