GRRR.... what is wrong with some people? i went to the chemist on my mobility scooter to get my prescription, and on the way back saw a woman i didn't know i said hello, well the look she gave me you would think i nicked her handbag, ould it be that difficult a quest just for her to have said hello back?(wish i had run her over now!!!) she obviously hasn't heard the saying"manners maketh the man"

what is wrong with people?...
I totally sympathise last time I took my mobility scooter to the shops I got so many dirty looks , tuts and one woman purposely parked her car at the cut out I was waiting to cross at blocking me from the road ...... Ok I am only 47 doesn't mean to say we don't need them...... I mean come on from choice would we steal one to joy ride around on.... It makes me so mad one day I came home in tears due to people's reactions.
ah bless u both people can b so cruel today ,i hope they dont need a mobility scooter one day soft hugs to u both xx
on another occasion a old man (i didn't know and have never seen in the village before) said oy you, i looked round ,he said you should be ashamed driving that thing ,your young enough to cycle a bike, does it belong to a relative ? i said i don't know you or want to know you so mind your own f*****g business and i rode off(i don't usually swear)
people are arse holes sorry for swearing but its still true they are
yep i agree with you there, tell you what though lally a few years back when i was able to walk further and was trying to open a door and balance my stick to go in the city post office, several people ignored me ,a couple of people tutted, and a homeless young lad came over and opened the door for me so it just goes to show you doesn't it who was the better person
I know exactly how you are feeling, i have posted a blogg earlier about the same thing, today i was accused of being an ignorant pig and a disability fraud cheat all on a bus which was full i felt so upset and humiliated, in fact i got off the bus even although i had to wait 30mins for the next one and it was pouring with rain,
Hope you have a better day tomorrow and feel okay
Gentle Hugs,
Bonnie Lass
yep there are a lot of ignorant sods out there, a few years ago when i could still use a service bus,i got on with this lady and the bus was full, a man in his 50s in a suit reading the paper was sat in one of those front seats for disabled people and the lady asked him nicely if he would mind giving me the seat as i was walking with a stick, he looked up from his paper and jeered and said no way ,i actually paid for this seat, she hasn't she got on with a pass, the lady complained to the driver and he just shrugged his shoulders, i got off a bit down the road and waited another half hour for another one,i can't manage buses now maybe it is a good thing!!
Manners cost nothing i always say.
It's maddening isn't it? Manners cost nothing, tolerance even less. I got on a bus with my friend once, (she's blind), I'd been helping her shopping and was feeling truely awful with back and hip pain by then. Some kind soul asked me if my friend could use his seat, so she replied, "yes thanks, I think she would", and got me to sit on the thoughtfully vacated seat.
When the previous occupant started to protest, my friend said she was very sorry but that she hadn't seen that he'd meant her, she was only blind but I was in pain!
Humble pie never tasted sweeter!
Its certainly a sad world.eveyone is against everyone else, no one has a good word for anyone and thought and consideration and manners are hard to come by. such a shame
My son has moved from Somerset to Brighton for university, has found out that most people think he is weird as he talks to strangers.
yes i originate from the south west of the country and i think we are a much open and friendlier lot down there!!
