I'm waiting to hear from my dr if I can take pregabalin alongside amitriptyline, tramadol and meloxicam. I am also asking about duloxetine and tizanidine as I've read lots of people with fibro take those. I've been on tramadol for about 5 years and my pain is so bad now. Was dx in March this year and moved house after giving up my job, to be near family so my husband has support when I'm sick. I hate all this. It's a constant battle to get medication, treatment, referrals and financial support. Ridiculous thing is I want to work but this is all preventing me!

I have used 150mg in the evening for some time now and in the beginning felt as you do. However I do not use it during the day as I felt I could not function well enough to drive etc. but it does help with pain and sleeping so I persevered and have found it helpful but, as with all drugs, we all react differently, Hope this helps a bit.

I used to be on Gabapentin but was changed by the pain clinic. I take 150mg 3x a day and it helps a lot with my nerve pain. Hope you get sorted. xx

I take 150mgs Pregablin, 3 times a day, sometimes I feel a bit drunk , but most of the time I'm fine.

Hi Im on pregabalin and im starting to come off it and gabapentin doesnt work for me either. Pregabalin was giving me side effects - not sleeping, palpatations, headaches just to name a few but the doc also thought that it was effecting my walking but i told him that i was struggling with my walking before i went on it. At the min im on 200mg and on monday i got down to 150mg and thenreduce by 50mg every week but if i get sore then to take an extra one or so my docs says!!!!!!

i dont think that it help with the burning sensations at all for me but everyone is different and alot of people find it works really well for them

Take Care

I use preagabalin 2x300mg in the morning and at night , it takes a bit of getting used to , at night I feel like some one just throws a switch and it's morning , then the day just goes by and just chill .

If I need to go out and drive the van then I won't take it as I nearly crashed once due to being sleepy.

i take Pregabalin 100mg morning and night and it seems to be helping. I take it alongside Amytriptaling nd dont seem to have any side effects. i can drive and function at work apart form when the fog hits and then I cant. Best of luck with it.

If you dont like the feeling ask the doc to stop taking it, All the meds they offer made me ill i had cotton wool head as i call it couldnt function its like having a hang over. Not all meds that they give out suit everyone its you body tell them you dont like the side effects and try something else.

I've been using pregab for 4 months now, when I changed to pregab225mg from gabapentin900mg I didn't feel much difference for the first day or so apart from dizziness but after that the neuropathic was halved . I highly recommend pregabalin,it has been such an amazing drug for me.
