Do you think that if we lived in a warm place

With all this rain I just wondered if we would be better in

A country that had less rain, and warmer

When we have settled weather I have noticed I feel better

But some times when it is humid I feel worse.

Hi Vivien,

It's quite possible, it affects me the same way. I know the same applies to Arthritis sufferers too.

It would need to be dry warm, not humid warm though.

happy hugs, kate :)

I agree. With all this rain, and humidity it has not been helpful for the pain and the humidity saps your energy. I have read that July and August is going to be mainly wet. Yeuch.xx

Hi Vivien. The weather affects me, I know when we have rain on the way without looking at the forecast. I will say to family and friends there is rain on the way, they dont believe me until it rains, then they say you were right! When the sun shines it makes it easier to move around (thats how my body works) but when its cold, raining and dull I just want to sleep all the time. Hugs x

Is playing me up today

But how right they were I expect they had fibro as well just

Called it some thing else

Thank you for taking the time to reply and you sound the same as

Me lets hope we have some sun this year.

I live in Louisiana and moving here made a difffrence ,but on the bad rainy days I still hurt, but for the most part I do better. I had a doc in Nebraska once tell me to lay on a tanning bed and I did when the wether got bad I used real high sun protection and covered up with a towel as much as I could but the warmth felt so good and made me feel better, it really was worth it !!! Good luck to you !!! Oh and I have food triggers too, if I eat to much beef or prouducts with nitrates or corn, soy and to much gluten I have worse symptoms I hope it all helps !!!

hi ive been aboard and its amazing just how much better the pain is when im over there.its like a have a new body.

yeah i still get the extreme tiredness but hardly any pain.i would love to move abroad but my fella cant handle sun.

hes opposite.

ive been told that it does not matter after all USA has it and prob other countrys too maybe holidays help as a de stress not the weather ??

I went to Malta this time last year recommended by my specialist and stayed untill nov,the difference in my health was shocking my whole family saw me turn back into being me,swimming in sea, waking up at first light, etc, although not completely cured there was no afternoon naps for hours on end and I was able to play with my little girl.hoping to go back soon as Brighton at bit bleak right now lol.heat thoroughly recommended lol

There is no doubt about it that we seem to feel better in nicer weather. The cold and damp days don't help our symptoms at all. This Summer (if you can call it that here in the UK) has been so cold and wet, my Fibro is much worse than usual. Normally during the Winter I am quite poorly, some days better than others, but some are spent in bed. It's hard to keep on top of my pain levels and fatigue. Whenever there is a warm sunny day I automatically feel better, I am sure psychology plays a part in this. Sunnier warmer days look nicer too! When the birds are singing and the sky is blue and there are lovely colourful flowers out, nothing seems as bad does it. I seriously need a Lottery win now haha! :) :)

We go to Menorca twice a year and I always feel so much better while I'm there. I think its a bit of both, the weather and the fact your away from any stress that normal home life brings. We scrimp and scrape so we can go to get the warmth. I just wish we could stay for a few months so at least part of the year I felt well.
