Hey orgsmurf54, gentle hugs - Welcome to the group, we are a nice lot of Fibromites (sounds better than saying, Fibromyalgics!).

I've not had chronic anaemia, but I do suffer with extremely painful toes - AND feet - They constantly feel as the someone has them in a vice and is turning it tighter bit by bit every day. This has gone on for 21 years and x-rays years ago, ruled out any missed broken bones et cetera. So, it is assumed Mr Fibro has been corroding away at my body for as far back as 38+ years ago - am only 50 now and no longer have any real quality of living my life any more.

Love,

Carol xx

Hi Cadee1961

Thx for the welcome and your reply, thought I was alone with my very painful toes. Love (sort of) being a Fibromite I really feel like I belong somewhere now, (lol) I have gone through what seems like every test they have like yourself and, diagnosiosed firstly with PMR, then LUPUS, followed by RHUEMATIOD ARTHRITIS, now ARTHRITIS and FIBRO dont know if I'm coming or going. Hopefully I can gain a lot from this site and in the process make some lovely friends.

Love n Soft Hugs,

Hey Cadee1961

I forgot to mention about reflexology, have you tried it?, it does work I had for free it was bliss and pain free for about 3-4 days at 1st, to getting "normal" feet back. It is too expensive for me now so I am suffering daily. Hope this helps

No way would I let ANYONE touch my tootsies! I have the most ticklish feet EVER! I just soak them in a temperature controlled foot spa - usually above body temperature - when the are really bad - and wear very thick socks to keep them warm during the day - and thick bed socks are a must night in bed - no matter what time of year it is - I find my feet and toes especially, are not too bad then - but woe be tied if I forget to put a pair on! Mr Fibro really snacks on them then!

Gentle hugs and love,

Hi Cadee1961

I used think like that but was in so much pain, I'd give/do ANYTHING to try and help, I could not believe it the pain left my feet for 3-4 days after the 1st session. I also was very ticklish but being pain free was worth the lip biting.

My feet are also hot all the time and need my feet to be free constantly, NO socks, shoes, slippers anything only when required.

Hey Dee,

I guess I'll remain a martyr to the discomfort then! :-D - no way will I be able to bite my lip - as anyone who has touched my feet know - I have a mean automatic kick to send anyone into the middle of next week with severe concussion! :-O

I used to have really hot feet - and shoes and socks were for outdoors only - but I've managed to keep those tootsies at just the right temperature. I may have to suffer the pain to keep "cool" but I do believe the pain would be far worse, if said tootsies were left to their own devices! :-)

Gentle hugs,

Take care,

Love,

Hello Corpew

Thank you for answering my Q, I have painful feet and toes everyday its like walking on glass, makes me feel like crying some times. I tried reflexology which was brilliant and free, (from a centre I use to attend) I have now left there so have to pay. Its way expensive so have to suffer, should be on the NHS!!!

Hello scrumie

Thx for your welcome. All of you have made me feel wanted, taking the time out to answer my Q. Have you tried reflexology? It does work if you can afford it. I also have bought some SHAPERS training shoes, they are really comfy, expensive but worth it if you can get a deal (BOGOHP) PAVERS SHOES.

Hello moneybags - Cramped toes, Numbness and mine separate and I can't bend them, excruciating pain I don't have a time it just happens :( x its like spasms that you get in your tummy or if you suffer from IBS. Just try and keep them warm or reflexology, that worked for me just too expensive now :(

Hi.

I have recently started to get strange feelings in some of my toes, sometimes a little achy and numb feeling. I didn't relate it to the fibro I know it's not relate but can't think of the right word,xx

Hi I am new here, in fact newly diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, tho I have probably had it for years. Never knew the pain I have had in my feet was part of this condition until I found this site. In fact I never knew that so many things that trouble me were part of the condition. Like Orgsmurf I get such cramp in my toes and they separate, and won't go where they should.it's agony. Well discovering it is caused by Fibro doesn't make it go away, but such a relief to know I'm not the only one

Hi Dee

Welcome to the group.

I have had chronic anaemia for about 8mths now and iron pills just arent working for me. I have it i think because of my ibs causes severe bleeding there.

I have also got very painful hands, fingers and toes, and suffer bad cramps. Like Cadee though I dont like anyone else touching my feet, they are likely to get kicked :) But my feet when walking feels like i am walking on hot coals.

This is not good for someone like me who absolutely loves shoes, i now live in flip flop type sandals simply cos they are more comfy.

But i cant have my feet too warm or too cold, if they are the rest of me is.

I hope you find something that works. Dont forget anaemia can make you feel lightheaded a lot as well.

Take care

Kialaya, have you ever tried 'Earth Spirit' footwear? you can buy them online. I am a shoe-a-holic, or was. Now I only wear crocs or Earth Spirit, as they are the only comfy things my feet can tolerate.

Hi,another newbie to this site. I too have FM and have Pernicious Anaemia, being B12 deficient. I have to have injections 3 monthly but I don't think that is enough so looking to have it monthly or sooner. My feet are always either ice blocks or hot toast. Can't win. My shoes are from Hotter as its the only things I can keep on my feet, having also got plantar fasciitis and haglands deformity. I've joined the PAS group so if you need any info, have a look there. Xx
