Whether you are religious or not, I have always found the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi, very helpful through the last few years of my life:
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
and the Wisdom to know the difference.
Perhaps we can't change the fact we have FMS but we can change other aspects of our life and circumstances if we only have the courage. I am going to try and change my circumstances at work through support from Occupational Health. If I can endure just a few more months I am positive things will change, even if it means retirement from the Police. I will make sure that I make my mark and stand up for my rights, even if I end up moving on to pastures new. Gentle hugs.x

But them words are so true. I hate what fibro has done to me but i am still that smiley confident person within my own family. I do beleive that i fibro has stopped me doing things but i try my best to be positive and think of the things i can do rather than the things i cant.
Also if i didnt have fibro i wouldnt of met some close frinds and the lovely people on here.
I hate showing any weakness and i always try my best to carry on.
nor am I religious but after 20yrs of having fibro you have to learn to live with it & I choose to be positive & happy most of the time!! I push myself when family are around then just flop when they go!! Love & huggles to us all xx
