Have you ever been assessed for Hypermobility Syndrome? Hypermobility is considered to be a risk factor for developing Fibro
hi iv never heard of hypermobilty syndrome iv had fibro for 28years and just thought the knee pain was something else we had to suffer thank you i will mention this to my doc ,
YES - just had left knee injected with cortisone, and going to have right one done sometime soon. I have to wear strong knee supports if I am going out of the house, even for the shortest distance
i have suffered for last couple of years with my knees, just lately when i go to walk i want to go one way and my knee wants to go the other,i have constant pain and get a lot of clicking, its horrible xx
I too have random knee pain. I will be able to walk upstairs (SLOWLY) most days, and them WHAM, the pain shoots through my knee like you wouldn't believe. Usually my right knee, but sometimes the left! Then I can bear no weight on it at all and have to come up & downstairs peg legged! I had an op on my left knee when I was 17 which was supposed to be Chrystalisation in the joint, but as it was the cartiledge they were operating for, they dimissed it, but the surgeon said, " give up any thought of being a PE teacher. No-one thought to ask why. My wrists were also doing peculiar things as well. I would all of a sudden drop things or tip a cup of tea over everything. Wonder now if that was the start of FM. If so that means I have had it for over 40 years!! Every decade new and more painfull things were added to the list. Obviously Hypochondria!!!!! Best wishes to all Sue. x
