ATOS medical tips needed

Hi all, any help gratefully received. Have my medical happening this Thursday from Atos doc re DLA appeal. Any good tips that may help my cause ????

my advice would be dont take your pain meds before your medical, that way they get a true idea of your condition xx

The best thing you can do is go as its one of your worst days. It's not easy being us suffering all the time, but if you can go as your worst day they can get the right view of you. If you know what I mean. Good luck, big hugs and much love xxx

I was having a bad day when I went for my assessment (I don't just have fibro though!) i was asked if this was a bad day…. i actually said it was a good day…..as many of my bad days are much worse.

The best thing is not to lie as it might come back and bite you on the b*m. Just say things as they are for you. I aimed to just answer the questions that i was asked, but still ended up babbling on!!

One thing i did was call before hand, to check wether i was going to be seen by a doctor or a health care assistant… Luckily i was to be seen by a doctor as i have multiple conditions, but had they not chose that for me , i was getting ready to insist on one!

Thanks for the responses. The doctor is coming to the house to do the medical - it is for my DLA appeal as a independent opinion - hopefully independent anyway !! He sounded really nice and said he is an Occupational Health Doctor normally but does DLA medicals so fingers crossed. Previous DLA doctor said I was as I was but my GP disagreed - hence why this is happening.
