Well, I got a phone call on Friday from D.W.P, just over a week after my visit to Atos. They are putting me in the 'Work Related Activity Group', which is what I hoped/expected would happen. Just didn't want to be told I had to go back to signing on with no support. I really want to work, but my body doesn't always behave, lol. So need to find an employer that understands my condition & supports my needs so I can work. Lets see if this 'W.R.A.G' is the answer. Will keep you posted.
Good Luck to anyone going for their Atos Medical or waiting for the results

well done im the same but its gonna be hard right now to find a job who will understand .good luck.
I know, but if they think they can find someone who will then let them. I had applied for loads of job & attended several job interviews when I was on J.S.A. (2 yrs), but never got anywhere. So lets see what they think they can do that is any different. They say we are not discriminated against, but I often got the feeling during interviews that I was only there because they have to interview a certain percentage of disabled people.
Hi I am really pleased that you are happy with what you have got. I am still waiting to hear after 3 months!!!!!!!! I look for the postman everyday and I have rang up 3 times but just keep getting told there are alot of people to get through. I hope that a job comes up which is just right for you take care Sue xx
I think it's disgusting that you are still waiting for your results after 3 months, I was told by the Atos doc that I would here within 2 weeks & I did. May be worth you seeking advice from CAB, as I know you'll be worrying & that's not good, as that will be affect you health.
I was on ESA for 2 years but id moved area from Scarborough to Leeds. I went to one of these assessments by ATOS. I was found perfectly well, an athelete almost! And score 0 points and my money abruptly stopped. I have appealed and I struggled the bus ride by myself to take the appeal form in by hand and have someone give me some kind of receipt so it doesn't 'get lost' like so many other forms! I will give them their due, my money was reinstated as soon as they recieved my letter which surprisingly (probably because I had proof of them having it!) the very next day. What they failed to tell me is that my housing benefit and council tax benefits as well as kids school meals had stopped too and they hadn't told me I had to put in a fresh claim! More stress and visits to the nescessary centres! Especially seeing as my kids were starting school that week too!
Anyway all sorted for now. Id like to get back into work too and some days I think that will be fine, but then out of no where boom fibro comes back with mates and floors me although its never far with niggling everyday problems when an attack hits...well you all know
sorry for the delay in replying & so sorry to here of all the stress you've been through. it took nearly 6 month for them to get my JSA changed to ESA cause they still had my incapacity claim open, even though I'd been on JSA for 2 years. (lack of communication)
I have had a fibro flare up as usual. have a day or 2 that are good/ok, then bang!!! knocked of feet for a week.
It seems every town is so different in the way they are dealing with ESA & atos. Why is there no continuity, surely DWP have all got the same guidelines from the government, but this country is not the best for communication. I'm seriously thinking of writing to the PM & my local MP to find out what the guidelines are & why they are not being used.
Anyway, got my interview at the job center on Friday, so will let you know how that goes.
Hi, i went to a medical by atos back in june it was with a nurse as no doctor's were on that day. I have been on esa for almost 3 yrs now and first medical was done by a doctor and was told in medical i had passed with no doubt so had been put on support group. Since the first to second medical i have deteriated with crps and depression amongst other medical problems and heard within a few days i was put on work related group and after receiving the medical report a friend read through it and on 1 part it stated i was un fit for work and my condition is only going to deteriate more over time. No questions were put to me in medical about anything other than my crps. I have now appealed as to why i have been dropped to this group as cant do anything for myself so how can they expect me to go for job centre interviews etc. I still dont know any decision of the review they are doing first before an appel board. It has stressed me even more last few months not knowing what will be the out come. Hope all goes better for you

I'm finding the whole process very frustrating & stressful, do they not realize that stress makes our condition worse!!!!! so why do they keep doing things like this??? No continuity in this government, DWP, ATOS. AGHHHHHH!!!! sorry for the rant.
Anyway, got my interview at the job center on Friday for this work related activity group (W.R.A.G!), so will let you know how that goes.
Sorry for the rant or if I've repeated myself.
Take care of yourself & hope you manage to get a good result on your appeal.
May be worth ringing atos to see if your report has been sent off, or DWP to see if they have received it. Hope you get it sorted soon as I know it is a great worry.
Hope you get the result that you want or are expecting. Good luck, take care.
I sent my forms in for a review in December, still not actually heard bk from atos, just a letter from dwp saying Due to recent change of circumstance (medical change from psoratic arthritis to fibro) then I on ESA until I cOme off it myself or my medical conditions get better, On phoning dwp she said nothing on their system about me having to go for a medical and basically if happy as I am on ESA then keep quiet about it as many are losing their ESA, only problem is the WRAG is 15 miles away and takes me 3 days to recover from the 5 minutes interview as they say no one gonna employ me in the state of ill health n just to
Turn up every 2 months, hope everyone as some good luck in their fight against atos x
