diazepam x

Diazepam works for me but is not commonly prescribed . Apparently because

a ) it's addictive and the dosage you need to maintain the same effect creeps up over time and b) it has a street value ( I found this out from the emergency doc on Saturday ) so GP's are told not to prescribe it.

I agree with Christine, go and talk to your GP and see what they can suggest .

Hi i also had abad reaction to amitryptline so my GP put me on Dosulepin which is a sister drug to it and less used because diazipan, lorazepam...........

werent working so i have a combi of drugs but no reaction to the dosulepin

it may be worth asking you gp about it

i had amytriptonine too but a locum doc took me off it saying it had too many side affects [like weight gain for instance] so i am now on dosulepin too along with diazipam. i take pain killers too which disguise pain so you dont know its there and relax the area instead of tensing it. but ask your doc.
