infusion
I know that my doctor in Germany uses them for critical patients..seems it gives results too!
Infusions can be given for Fibromyalgia although they are not that common. They are given by a doctor. Infusions tend to be primarily for pain relief and can be either holistic or medicinal. Holistic infusions tend to be alkaline infusions, which inject a cocktail of trace elements, minerals and antioxidants directly into the body to counter the ill effects of Fibromyalgia. These infusions still have to be given by a doctor. A medicinal infusion may contain Lignocaine which is a local anesthetic that is often used to sew up cuts. It can also help with pain relief if infused. Both infusions can be given given intravenously or through epidural routes just under the surface of the skin. Apparently infusions can also be given in clinics these days too, and also in some cases in patients' homes. Anyone interested in this sort of treatment should of course discuss it fully with their GP's, some may be opposed to it for treating Fibromyalgia.
Thanks everyone. Don't know if when i reply to a comment, does everyone who answered see my response? someone tell me. I've got an infusion scheduled for 24 May. they wanted to do it on 12 may, but that's our aniversary lol. NHS is paying for it.
I've been waiting about 3 months. 3 refferals were lost!!! I've heard from my pain specialist that some folks have had relief, of up to 3 months. SHE ALSO SAID SOME PEOPLE GET NO RELIEF AT ALL.
I have to go to a jobcentre plus appt. If i don't go, i lose benefits. Crazy thing is, it's about job interviewing. I explained that i still have a job(not paying me) but they said i still have to attend.
I'm rambling...i hate it when I do that. last 3 days have been off the charts. everything hurts
thanks everyone
charlie
I forgot to say that I am not sure if this treatment is available on the NHS or merely privately. This of course would also have to be discussed with your GP.
That all sounds very interesting x x
That's brilliant Jules, thank you for adding that info.
