Hello,

I've been using the TENS machine for the last two years, I feel it takes a few hours to work. I did replace the small pads with bigger rectangle ones since they cover a bigger area .. Do you attend a pain clinic? The one I go has people who show how to work the TENS and where to place the pads to get the best use out of it. If not most chemists would be able to show you how it works :) .. The one that I has a few settings on it which can help different kinds of pain.

Hope this helps :) xx

Hi,

I have one but haven't used it for a while. I was using it quite often and sometimes it did help, but other times I didn't really notice much difference. The pads have to be replaced quite often too.

Good luck with yours x

Lol jozzy. i know just what you mean! I find it helps as a couple of spliffs in the evening relax me and reduce my pain slightly. Cant be doing with standing outside when having them at the moment tho, the weather here is atrocious to say the least! I would never suggest this to anyone else but it works for me qiute often. im curious to see how many other people do.it too though :-D

Hi I have a tens machine and i was using it to help with my hip and back pain it does help but you have to persevere i went to a pain management course with an organisation called mind. It helped to stop the pain messages going to my hip. i used it 3 times a day and just left the pads on and took the machine off inbetween treatment times. give it a good go if your using one. you'll either love it or hate it. Hope this helps lesley x

I was given a TENS machine by my local Pain Clinic - it's awkward for me to use it as the cables get tangled up every time I go to the loo! (Sorry - too much information).

I have thought about getting a wireless one, but have no idea if these are any good.

I have had a tens machine for years, was about £30. It definatley helps with musle spasam pain, but not much else. Worth trying though. Mine has width & pulse choices, I would recommend that as some of the settings I can't tollerate. Main prob is the sticky pads don't last long, keep falling off or stick to your clothes. Some hospitals give you a free month's trial, may be worth asking?

Hope this helps you. xx
